In addition to the suggestions given, maybe a few normalizing cycles before quenching and tempering could help? Or do the temper in an oven after a vegetable oil quench to allow the part to soak at tempering temp for awhile?

I have heard of one credible case from someone I know that dropped a primed case and had it go off on the floor by his loading bench. Reminds me of a story about a kid that used to be on the FD with me. He calls me, knowing I reload an know a good...

For rifle it's a toss up for me. .308 win or .25/06, with a runner up being .300 win mag. I'd possibly own a .308 if it was in something like a Savage 99. .25/06 doesnt quite shoot heavy enough bullets for my taste, and is too much in between the...

I'd take that roo meat raw and jar it up with an airlock to keep the flies out and the jars from blowing up and let it taint awhile, not till it's full on rotted but got a little stink to it, then preserve it with sodium benzoate to keep it where...

Brand new set of Hornady Fl .270 win dies and 2 boxes (200) 130 gr Hornady Interlocks. If I can find the 3rd box of interlocks before I mail it I'll throw them in. As per my discussion with Casting Machine after receiving a very generous PIF from...
