.... and the reason I found Kamik was because I went hunting in a town about a 150 miles away from home, stayed one night in a motel and left Sorels in the room when I checked out. As soon as I got home I called and told the lady there what I had...

429421Cowboy replied to a thread Lighting in a shop in Our Town
LED is the way to go, with more lights than recommended/you think you need. One thing I have learned from my boss here is that more light is never a bad thing. We have LED's every 4 feet in our machine shop and mechanic shop, mostly the old T8...

Scary stuff. I do think I'd have still tried for a head shot, a good loaded CB ought to poke clean through a griz skull. This happened not too far from where I grew up, and I have spent a good bit of time in that country without any bear problems,...

429421Cowboy replied to a thread Shot a fawn in Hunting with CB's
Having had enough wildlife bio classes in my natural resources degree, I can agree that killing a fawn has almost no effect on herd recruitment. (I did read and understand that the OP did not shoot a fawn). The odds are very high (80+%) that any fan...

429421Cowboy replied to a thread Elko, Neveda? in Our Town
You wont even know they're there, they try pretty hard to maintain a low profile, knowing that any bad PR could be hard on business. As GP said, the mining element is where most of the trash filters in, 99% good folks working hard and taking care of...
