I have (2) 30" X 96" commercial work benches I got via silent auction when they were discarded at work. The top is 1.5" thick particle board covered with Formica. I also have a similar table that I built using 2 sheets of 3/4" thick plywood. This...

I tend to agree with you yet other countries fought WWI without super sloppy chambers.. The US fought WWII with normal chambers in autoloading rifles. Veterans will tell you that malfunctioning Garand rifles were almost non-existant.

If you have a case head separation and you don't have a broken case extractor just use a fired case. Jam the fired case inside the broken case and pull the bolt back. The wedged case will pull the broken case out without any issues. Ihave done...

The Brits don't seem to have had a good standard for their chambers. The US SAAMI and the European CIP standards are very close and the chamber and ammo dimensions match. The British chambers are way too long to the shoulder. The Brit chambers do...

Quote I got good results from an NEI .330-245-GC in the Portuguese Guedes, and while many say NEI aren't like they were in their Walt Melander years, they presumably use the same tooling and most of the time don't misuse it. Walt Melander's son...

GEW 88 and KAR 88 rifles in 8X57j were designed to shoot .318 bullets. HOWEVER the groove diameter is NOT .318. It is .320 to .321. The two that I own are .3205. So you really need a mold that casts about .322 to .323.....

6.5X53R Dutch MANNLICHER is best formed from new RP or new WW .303 Brit brass. The Dutch rifle uses Mannlicher packet clips for a rimmed round. The bolt head and extractor are designed for a rimmed round. My dies and 4 rifle chambers are all .005...

Annealing does not take much time, effort or money. But it does take a little knowledge of the right color tint. Get a case holder to spin your brass and practice on some cheap 5.56mm brass. The .218 brass is too expensive to practice on.

.30 Herrett Contender barrels often have a .750 long section of bore with NO rifling just ahead of the chamber. According to old wives tales this was done to reduce pressure in this non SAAMI wildcat. Variations in barrels can lead to variations in...

Your initial neck sizing steps are not pushing the shoulder back enough. I had the same problem forming the softer Federal .303 brass to 6.5X53R Dutch Mannlicher. I have the .17 Ackley form die set by RCBS. I had no problem forming the brass...

The flexible Erikson style lets have the ability to expand and squeeze down. The total range per collet is 1/32". Yeah kind of expensive. About the only better solution is to own a lathe.

Most rifles of any brand have a brown preservative like Alox 2138. I just wipe the bore with Hoppe's a couple of times and go shooting.

Inside magazine length of the Rem short action is 2.835". It is possible to make it about .125 longer. You mill away the boss for the ADL's middle screw and tig a U shaped extension to the rear of the magazine box. If you are concerned about...

From the description of your barrel you might have a common centerfire barrel intended for a .458 Win. If so the twist will be one turn in 14 inches.

About the bent barrel. I bought a used M94 Big Bore that had a bent barrel and a crooked front sight. Sent it to the factory and it came back with the front sight straight and another crooked barrel. So I returned it to the dealer.

EDG replied to a thread Lyman M die in Reloading Equipment
M dies work great when you make your own expanders. The step in your case neck guides the bullet so that it always starts nice and straight without shaving. Flaring a case with the common conical expander does not provide that benefit. You are...

Make a Wison type case holder that you can use in the lathe to part off the brass and keep your chuck jaws off of the brass. You can also use that case holder with a Wilson .50 caliber trimmer which will trim up to .605 diameter.
