In my Blackhawk the RCBS 270- SAA was the most accurate.i know it is plain based, and I can't comment on PC boolits. Shoot, looks like I ain't much help.

May I chime in and recommended not loading anything for anyone. I have a buddy that is coming up from Florida to visit. He has a NIB Ruger revolver that he's never taken out of the box, let alone cleaned, loaded or fired. The last time he shot...

I have been through a few, swapped one and gave one to a friend in Mobile, but have had my Rockchucker for several years. If I ever sell my rifles I do believe I'd like the press that Sinclair advertises, as the RCBS press is a bit much for pistol...

Just rereading this thread reminds me....... The place I bought my first molds and BP rifle is, and has been, leveled and made into part of the River Walk here. What is ironic is that it was one mile and two blocks from where I currently live.

Some here have a dry sense of humor, me included. However, I'd be willing to bet that no one here will knowingly steer you wrong.

1... keep moisture away from the pot. 2... Wear a face shield, cotton clothing and heavy gloves when casting. 3....pay attention to what you're doing.

Mostly QC at a sawmill, with a stint as a sawfiler until the mill shut down, then a QA tech at two different chicken plants until my cancer came back. Now I'm retired and disabled and a CPA to my wife. No, that has nothing to do with...

Both of my #1's shot very well. I replaced the trigger on one of them and it shot soooooo much better after that. The other I had rechambered and a trigger job done on it. Can't complain about either one.

Just separated the boolits I cast the other day. I had less than thirty rejects, and some of them would have been ok to load, but at times I'm anal..... The remainder filled a box that some .480 brass came in several years ago. Now to empty some...

I believe it was about a year or so ago if that long. I'll admit that it didn't rattle like my Colt GM and was the most accurate .45 that I have ever shot or owned. The gouge in the brass concerned me. If I didn't handload I probably wouldn't have...

I had the same problem with the RIA I bought. It had such deep dings in the brass that I was hesitant to reload the brass. A very accurate pistol right out of the box, but I did not like the mangled brass. I sent it back twice, the first time they...

I get calls from all over the country that are connected to the Cancer Treatment Center of America. I have to be alert and try to remember where they are. Beyond that I don't answer too many calls which drives my wife nuts.

I like frosted boolits. I dunno why, but I do. I will turn on my Lee dripomatic wide open to melt the alloy then turn it down two numbers and leave it there. My Lee molds heat up pretty fast, especially the two cavity molds. I generally don't have...

Got my mold up to temp and made a pile of pretty boolits. The oil issue is gone. It took about four or five casts before it heated up. I also melted a bunch of 400 gr. .480 boolits that I have no primary use for. I suspect they will make great .357/...

Yup. If there isn't a crack to allow the molten lead to escape there's a good chance of explosion. Just hit them with a hammer to crack the jacket.
