Hi folks - I am wondering if any of you have personal use and recommendation for any of the "newer" rechargeable behind the ear hearing amplifier/aids? Media is pushing these lately including American Rifleman ads. They seem like a good deal since...

I've shot lots of Speer plastic bullets of 38, 44 and 45 calibers. They will woke as you've made them. A wet patch (bore solvent) run through the bore to swab the primer residue every cylinder full will help accuracy. I used a box with a dowel...

Back in the day I made quite a bit if 6.5x55 cases out of US milsurp cases. Easy enough to do if you use a form/trim die first. I've found the RCBS 8x57 form/trim die works very well. Initially form/trim the '06 cases in the form die then FL size...

If the rifles are the same and the load is the same the difference is the cases. Each time the cartridge is fired the case expands and seals the chamber then contracts a bit. If his Nosler cases are softer than your Lapua cases they do not...

I haven't been doing any reloading for over 5 years due to moving and other reasons. I needed a couple of items and ordered from Titan. What a class outfit they have developed to be. Very good website and great inventory. Very efficient process,...

I gave up sorting and/or selecting 45 ACP brass a long time ago. If I was still shooting in matches as well as I used to I would but for what I use the 45 ACP for the unsorted brass is just cleaned then loaded on a Dillon SDB. I do "look" at each...

Not any harder to cast 6.5 bullets than any other caliber. Prep the mould correctly, use a good ternary alloy with a balanced % of antimony and tin, flux well and keep the alloy in the right temp range, use a good casting technique and "luck" will...

I plan to go with the 147 grain JHPs for serious use; Years ago, back in the early '70s, I had a Browning HP, 2 M39s and a M59. I also had an Oehler chronograph back then. With cast I tried 158 RNs, 158 SWCs and 150 SWCs found basically I got...

On an M1A/M14 the bullet, even a cast one moving at 1800 - 2000 fps will have cleared the muzzle/barrel before the oprod begins moving to the rear. As previously mentioned, a small amount of variation of POI between the two may be found depending...

My testing of BLC-2 (and original BLC) with cast bullets in the .308W and 30-06 back in the day was with CCI 250 large rifle magnum primers.

If your going to use the BLC-2 with that bullet then I'd suggest a dacron filler. Most often BLC-2 doesn't burn efficiently with the lighter loads needed to keep that 170 gr cast bullet under 1950 fps for good accuracy. The dacron filler helps it...

"Ran speeds from 1400fps to 2400fps, with and without gas checks and just terrible." Pray tell what loads? What GCs? What lube" That bullet should do very nicely in the M94 at 1400 - 2000 fps and even down to 800 fps.

Almost all 9mm carbines are blow back operated and are made to function with standard 9mm pistol loads including +P with their attendant time/pressure curves. If one does come up with a "rifle load" (presuming that to mean some sort of slower...

I set the barrel back on my M98 Rhineland so it buts up against the internal barrel stop (Kuhnhausen calls it an "internal barrel torque shoulder") as a Mauser is supposed to and then tightened the barrel nut. That set the barrel back 0.125. I...

Seems to be a problem since about 2000. I have run across numerous such cases that fit as described or won't fit at all in Lee and RCBS shell holders. Seems manufacturing tolerances on the extractor groove have slipped a bit.

If you have Lee's Liquid Alox that will work just fine. just put a very light coat on the (as per Lee's directions) and let thoroughly dry before loading. No need to size again. 45-45-10 is usually a home made concoction, although it is...
