Coming for a precision competitive background I had very little use for full auto. That is until I got to play with them some. It's hard to have that much fun with your clothes on. Rambo-ing an M60 with a 200 round belt is something that you...

Duplicating the velocity is only one part of the equation. Duplicating the pressure with the same velocity is the real challenge. Per the owner, Tim Sundles claims that they use proprietary powders in some of their loads to get the performance...

What I look for in a good Roll crimp is a full radius on the nose of the hull. The radius on the outside helps with feeding, and the radius on the inside helps the Crimp smoothly straiten out during firing. Also the Radius on the inside tend to...

While per Dave Emary Hornady's senior ballistics scientist the Creedmoor’s parent case is the.30 TC but that is mostly marketing hype. It's actually the brainchild of Denise DeMille and like a whole host of others like the 6mmXC, 240 NMC, 6mm...

Killed between 40 and 50 whitetail buck and a few does with a 243 most with one shot. Depending on angle and size I found a couple of bullets just under the skin. Never lost one or had a hard recovery.

The .243 has been extremely popular since it's introduction and it will remain so for a very long time. https://www.chuckhawks.com/prolific_rifle_cartridges_2019.html

Tatu: I'd run those balls in a Rotary Tumbler and see if I couldn't smooth them out at little. The rough surface finish is not what we are looking for. Shiny works just fine. See pics in Post #21 above. Note: my balls weren't tumbled at...

Det cord runs around 30,000 fps. C4 is around 32,000 fps. The rule of thumb I was told was that you pick an explosive that is at least 5,000 fps faster than the Resonance Frequency of the thing you are trying to blow up. I have seen a video of a...

Mega: they still have a burn rate in FPS. It is nowhere near to the speeds some explosives operate at but it is still there or they couldn't rate a speed. Speed is Time x Distance. IE; Miles per hour, Feet per second etc. Randy
