While you're probably good, you need to know what your chamber neck diameter is in relation to the reformed reloaded cartridges. What does the OD of the neck of a fired cse measure and what do the necks of the loaded cartridges measure? If the...

I picked up a several holsters for cheap today from the local gun shop. One was a 1911 holster stamped SEVENTREES NEW YORK CITY In doing a little research, I found that Seventrees was the leather shop / company of Paris Theodore. There...

As stated you'll need to remove all lube from the neck area. lube leads to dents then to wrinkles. I have formed 221 from 223 in an intermediate step of going to17 fireball. I did anneal before forming. Also, sometimes it is helpful to start with...

I have sized 0.412" bullets to 0.401" in 2 steps. I did not lube as these were for a sabot muzzleloader load. They were relatively soft, range lead, air cooled. It nearly wiped the lube grooves out. If looking to shoot as a lubed bullet, I doubt...

Do you have a 0.410 lubesizer die? You should size and lube to 0.410 before sizing smaller. The presence of the lube will help retain the lube grooves, plus the lube will ease the friction of sizing. I would size and lube to 0.410, size to .405...

The dot seems to be fairly bright. if the dot is adjusted appropriate for the ambient lighting, I'd expect the red cast to be nonexistant. Maybe I am off-base in interpreting your OP. I've had a Romeo 5, but cant remember seeing any red cast when...

Somebody on here has a 10lb lot for 85+shipping. I've found it a bit cheaper but that's about the going rate.

They also corrected a canted barrel cylinder gap at the same time. The gap was much closer smaller at the top than the bottom.

I think it was forged. They sent me a frame with different serial number, it was not a repair of the original frame.

I have one of those. They replaced the frame once due to the cylinder sliding past the frame lug when ejecting cases. it was that way from the git-go. I have fired a couple of 158 JHP magnums just to see. The rest of the rounds fired have been 38...

On a factory chamber and run of the mill brass, I have selected a small handful of cases and played with depth/neck thickness to turn an average of 50% off the case. So...about half of the neck will get turned and the remainder will not. This...

I usually get to at least 4 or 5 I figured as I was reading, new posts were added and that page had changed by the time I got around to clicking on it. I think it is a function of peak activity and the amount of delay it takes you to get to page 3.

No, I'm pretty sure they meant ream. Anytime you shorten a case, pistol or rifle, the case walls (thicker) become the neck/case mouth. If the chamber had minimal clearance before, then you run the risk of causing high pressure events when the...

So, for around $450 +/- (used $30 off coupon at Brownells), I have a nice wood laminated stocked rifle. Not counting the scope base $50, and optic $150. Just wish the BM was metal or aluminum. That is a $100-$120 upgrade. The mag catch...

I saw a really nice 14-4 6" 3Ts today with original box. Barely a turn line on the cylinder. Shop also had a 15-3 in really good condition. Prices were around $600 +/-. I really like the pinned barrel Smiths.
