Good morning Olive oil and beeswax.. The only lube I am permitted to make in the kitchen. Basis for our BP lube. I would think 10% olive oil to 90% (1-9) would get you there. Can always add another small amount of olive oil. Even tastes good ! ...

Sounds about right as 16 gr RL7 w/o a Dacron filler should put the bullet in the 1500 - 1550 fps range which drops the rpm under the RPM Threshold.

Either H4895 or IMR4895 with the 311291 and a Dacron filler. I use IMR4895 at 26 gr with the Dacron filler under my 311291 for maximum velocity while holding 2 - 2 1/2 moa out to 200 yards. It runs 1975 fps. Better accuracy is had at 24.5 gr...

Picked up a Ruger American in 350 legend. Shoots well with the 145 fmj factory stuff, but the action feels like the gun was shipped over to the sandbox to be packed, after it was dropped in the sand and not cleaned. Roughest action I think I have...

I don't know what is in the ski wax, so would avoid using it. If you have the Lee stick Alox, that is 50-50 Alox and synthetic beeswax, intended for use in a lubricator-sizer. If you want to soften that lube to make it easier to use for pan lubing...

The Accurate 31-160H has a short base to crimp length which will fit the short neck on the .300 Savage. It WILL be necessary to do a chamber cast to determine throat length and diameter and to order the mould with its dimensions tweaked to fit...

The Lee Liquid Alox does fine for soft bullets in medium-velocity smokeless loads approximating original black powder velocity. No need to fill conventional lube grooves or to use special tumble lube bullets with micro lube bands. Use just enough...

In the Marlin watch overall cartridge length. .38 Special rounds which are shorter than 1.40" may double-feed onto the lifter and jam the gun. Ideally you want .38 Special rounds for dual-use in rifle and revolver to be 1.45-1.55" OAL. If loading...

Yes, oldred is correct. Hornady cases are too short as they are made for use with the flex tip jacketed bullet.

I forgot to ask if they were plain base or gas checked. Also what is the barrel length? I'm assuming a 20" barrel. It looks like the pressures are going to be pretty low on everything, so it probably won't cycle the action. I'm not sure how fast...

For years I was also a fan of 3.5 gr Bullseye under the 358477 in the 38 SPL. Then I pressure tested and found that 4.0 gr not only gave more uniform internal ballistics but also was actually more accurate. The velocity ES usually runs 25 - 30...
