An excellent bullet in my 7x57 M95 Mauser. When cast of COWW + 2% tin I found 26 gr IMR4895 with a Dacron filler to be a very accurate load. In your 7-08, should you choose to try IMR4895, I suggest starting at 20 gr and work up to 27 gr with a...

Looking great Oldfeller. Have you shot any of the buckshot loads yet? I'm very interested in how they group.

I load a lot of M193 equivalent 5.56 NATO on a Dillon 550B. Once fired military cases are sizes with a standard 223 Rem RCBS X-die (most often is a single stage press), the primer pocket swaged (Dillon primer pocket swage) and the case mouth...

The Rhineland barrel shanks are threaded long enough to fit into the deeper threaded M93 - M96 actions. Your M98 SR action is not threaded as deep because of it's internal collar as mentioned. Thus the excess threading sticks out. A simple...

Have you assembled any dummys with .358" bullets to see if they would chamber? Many wartime 9mm barrels are oversized. Load the largest bullet diameter which chambers without resistance.

Your welcome on the 180lg mold. We designed it around the chamber drawings and case drawings. The diameter can be changed to a smaller O.D. for whatever your gun measures.

Thanks for posting the pic! I'm sure Tom will sell a bunch of those molds because many traditional shooters don't like the bevel base. Anxiously waiting for field reports from the Land of Oz.

What people don't realize if that when you order a Tyler T-grip for an older pre-1940 gun, such as a Colt New Service, these are not made ahead and "stocked," but each one is made to order. In the days of the Internet everyone wants instant...

From what I am told is Federal is not doing a second strike of the head to harden the brass like everyone else does. And this makes the heads soft. It is ok for a lower PSI cartridge but not for loads in the 45k+ area. It is the bean counter getting...

None of the Winchester factory loads shot out of my gun have a problem. None of my reloads have a problem. Federal brass is known to be JUNK.

Very common in wartime barrels to see nonmetallic inclusions or laminations. These usually occur from elongation of a shrinkage pit in the center of the steel billet when it was poured, because the billet was improperly cropped in the mill, and the...

For a small case you could either make from .223 brass or just buy Starline, consider the 7.62x25 in a rifle, and then throat it long to permit seating 150-grain rifle bullets out long. John Taylor did one for me using a Remington 722 in .222...

Longitudinal cracks are not unusual for wartime barrels made with slave labor. Rushed production and poor QC. If you REALLY like the gun, John Taylor can make a barrel, and while at it make it long enough to thread for a can. I had him...

Release clearance determines max. safe bullet diameter. If cartridges chamber without effort the bullet is not too big.

Load is OK for any "full sized" .32 ACP, would not put lots of it through a Keltec.
