Well the pink nail polish really worked nice. I wouldn't have tried it without reading this thread. This 1911 had black sites in front and rear and I was having more and more trouble picking up the front site. The Saeco 069s grouped better.

pmer replied to a thread Makes me cringe... in Cast Boolits
Oh great, I'm just about ready to tumble coat some 45 ACP SWC LOL. If you have hollow points you can set them upside down on pins or nails and spray PC them. I use a bed of sheet metal screws and the bases are safe that way. Spraying seems to...

pmer replied to a thread AR10 slam fire in Cast Boolits
Still a good idea to clean the BCG. Shooting Hi Power with ARs, there is a lot single fire where you load directly to the chamber and let the bolt slam forward. Sometimes it's a combination of things that lead to a mishap.

https://www.thecarconnection.com/overview/ram_promaster-city_2019#rating-bypass Here's a review on the van. It seems like an honest description of the vehicle. Mine has about 10K miles. I had a Ford Transit Connect and loved it comparing the two...

http://imgur.com/gallery/fClGEQY I drive a Dodge mini van for work, it's a company owned vehicle. At low rpms when it's in too high of a gear it makes a loud, annoying drone. It has a stock exhaust system. Just wondering if there is anything I...

American Rifleman has a article about those .45s they are designated M45 A1. The Marine special operations people had Colt build them to their specs. The back story from the article is that first ones weren't properly coated/finished and they went...

For a first handgun to cast for I'd say 1911 in 45 ACP. Only one throat to be harassed by. Just learn how much to taper crimp and make sure cartridges plunk good. It would be a great way to learn the ins and outs of casting. I started out with 45...

pmer replied to a thread Hollow pointing boolits in Cast Boolits
For trimmers I have Lee, Lyman and a LE Wilson, does the Forster HP kit fit on other trimmers? Most of my molds are flat points. The 2 HP molds I have are NOE 452-230 and 403-200. Nothing for rifle as far as hollow point goes.

Thanks to all, I don't have a Forster case trimmer. But I think I can give Red Bear's idea a try.

I wondering what's out there for hollowing pointing boolits? Can you hollow point just the boolit or does need to be assembled in a cartridge? Has anyone seen it hurt or enhance their accuracy? I'd like to try it for a 375 grain .458 caliber.

I have a 300-221 that 1 time had a bad bolt carrier; it would shoot 8 or 9 rounds and then something happened to the bolt carrier where the bolt would get stuck inside and would not rotate freely. Replaced the bcg and it worked great again.

Seems to me that keto is a little too strict as a long term diet. The body needs some carbs, our brain is the our biggest consumer of glucose. I can loose weight if I can stay under 150 grams of carbs and eat less than about 1800 calories a day. ...
