Wow there's alot of room in that magazine. I wonder if it would feed a dummy round seated out to near max oal like 2.250 or so? I have a similar trouble with a Ruger Hawkeye in 358 Win. Can't shoot the RCBS 200 boolit because it's oal is too...

Try making a few dummy rounds that are longer in OAL & see they will feed past the edge of the chamber. It looks to me like you are having a 3 point jam. I was having the same issue with A458 socom in a AR15 and I ended up designing a custom bore...

Thanks for the tip on that other load. 10 or 15 extra yards is a big jump in effective range.

So I backed the powder charge down 5% and added .125, 20 gauge nitro card in the bottom of the shot cup and a over shot card on top. The crimps look alot better. The wads look better with all the petals intact and no strange kinks in the cushion...

I was researching buck shot loads here and thought I'd try a 8 pellet 00 buck out of an old IMR pamphlet that is on page 35. I was working off the second one from the bottom. Win AA, 209 primer, 32.0 800x, WAA12R claybuster subed wad, 20 grains...

Is Doug going to hunt over bait maybe that way the bullets can be controlled as to where they end up. What people using for optics? I'm thinking about saving up for a thermal scope. Can't go high end though.

One thing I noticed on the used Stoeggers upstairs at that GS was that the safeties weren't very consistent in switching back and fourth from fire to safe. (O&U) Man, I looked at post 810 on Super Blazing Sabot's link... there sure isn't any...

It would be for informal clay pigeons and hunting. Primarily for a 14 year old son, he's right handed but left eye dominant. My wife is the same and our 17 year old daughter is left handed / right eye dominant. A 20 gauge would probably be a...

I stopped at that GS , I didn't look at any pumps but they had used Stoeggers from 300. Probably a dozen sxs, LC Smith Remington and imports. For new had a 12/20 Stoegger combo for 600 plus Mossberg ATI and another brand for about the same price...

I would go with the 300 blackout and the 125 grain bullets. If you want you could spend the money on a day night scope or thermal just my humble opinion. I had a new ATN day night scope for a 20 caliber AR but I sent it back because it would lock...

If my day goes the way I think it might on the way home I can stop at a huge gun shop called Boone's Fine Guns. They'd have good selection of doubles. The 12/ 20 combos sound like a great idea. Running 2 different chokes might be nice too.

I was thinking about getting a double barrel 12 gauge because of there ambidextrous nature and was wondering how over & under shotguns do shooting buckshot and slugs. How are double barrels for shooting slugs into the same spot? At home out of the...
