Have both, in fact several of the measures. Good equipment, the press is the older model T-Mag. Use mine for 45 ACP but prime off the press. Can't help on prices, got mine at a bargain price as there was a chip starting on the frame where the...

Possibly an anode, find them sometimes on old steel gas pipes, anode is sacrificial and intended to protect the pipe.

Have you tried Lyman, they may still stock them or a replacement?

Use the 452-200 SWC, feeds well in several 1911's. Did mill the top down to remove the bevel so come in about 190 grs with range lead. Advice about pot size is spot on, even at 190 grs empties a 10# pot fast.

Have tha mold and solved it by removing the sprue plate and milling the top of the mold down enough to remove the bevel. Now drops a flat base bullet that weighs 190 grs cast from range lead.

Confused by John Boy's post, the numbers seem wrong. If Lino is 84% PB, 12% SB and 4% SN the mix he shows will not give those numbers when mixed with pure lead. By my calculation 3:1 should be 96/4/1 and 2:1 should be 94+/4/1+. Haven't shot 38 in...

About a month ago I bought NAPA cutting oil, got the one pint size. Think it was about $12. Wasn't in stock so they ordered it for me, only took two days to get it.

Have used both and did notice that the Al did not stay on as well as CU. Shooting 30 cal would find AL checks in front of the firing line. Wasn't every bullet that lost them but would find a small number. For the cost stayed with Gator checks. ...

Started with a Lyman Model 61(?), and the a SAECO 24. Used a LEE 10# in an emergency, had a LYMAN 20# whose model I forget and now have a LEE 20#. All worked well, especially the 10# Lyman and SAECO, the Lyman 20# not so much and the LEE 20# is...

Pull straight outward and don't pull up and the cam will be fine (don't ask). Have a bunch and love them although sooner or later they die, but first dead one for me (I couldn't rebuild it anymore) cast over 45K bullets. Have yours as well as...

As someone with bad arthritis I can tell you that the cutter versus a mallet or gloved hand is not a useless contraption. If they made them I would equip all my NOE molds with them.

Heat is an issue, although not really applicable to our shooting it doesn't take many rounds through a MG to get the barrel too hot to handle. Even a semi fired rapidly will heat well past the point where it will burn you badly. In my experience...

Never had a problem FL sizing for my M1. The chambers on most M1's are not really that generous, but brass FL sized will be back to factory spec and should chamber easily in a generous chamber. The consensus on the CMP forum is that small base...

I shoot a lot of steel and it does produce a lot of lead dust/fragments. In front of the plated the ground is covered and you won't find flattened bullets, at most maybe the the base and a bit of the bullet, the rest if gone and there will be a...

Bore and throat dimensions may matter, not sure as I never checked any when I shot 38/357 revolvers. Normal alloy was 2 parts range lead to one of Lino or just plain range lead sized .357+ in either S&W M14, M15, M27, or M686. On the other hand I...

Gotten myself several times with bullets that rolled off the folded towel I drop on and when reaching in for the next fill put my forearm down on them. Even through a cotton shirt it gets your attention.

Molds I use frequently are NOE 5 cavity and a few Lee 6 cavity, these I keep handles on. Most other molds either Lee 6 cavity or a few RCBS and Lyman doubles I only install handles when I use them.
