Rich/WIS replied to a thread Oversize Flash Holes in Cast Boolits
Read somewhere that while there is a SAAMI spec for brass dimensions there is not onefor flash hole size. Have seen a lot of variation over the years between makers and sometimes even in the same make.

Would there be problem running 12-3 wg. That would allow two 20 amp circuits, but not sure if using the same neutral and ground is okay or not, hopefully a real electrician will chime in on that.

The work done in the past has put this one way past restoration to original. Replace the fugly parts and stuff it full of cast RN or SWC and shoot the hell out of it. Check the recoil spring, may have been cut down for light loads and if dedicated...

Have cast thousands of 9mm and 40 for friends using straight range lead. No issues with leading at moderate velocity as long as sized correctly. Currently casting 9mm with 96-3-1 because I have a lot of it on hand from smelting some straight PB,...

Started with a Lyman 10# bottom pour, a Lyman 450, and Lee DC molds for 38 and 44. Been through several furnaces over the years as well as molds and currently use a Lee 20#, Lyman 450s/RCBS LAM II, Lee 6 cavity molds for 38, 40, 44, 45 LC and 45...

Cheap WM solid top hot plate set a hair below medium with a cover made from a Danish Butter Cookie tin. Cut a notch out of one side of the tin big enough for the mold handles to stick out. Plug it in when I turn on my Lee 20# pot and in about 20...

Tilting back changed the center of gravity on the handle and linkage to help keep the handle from falling on its own. And yes Virginia, if the handle falls and your fingers are in the way you CAN drive the decapping pin through your thumbnail.

I cast these for my buddy to use in his Henry lever action. By the time I got this mold I was out of the 38/357 revolver business so can"t speak as to its accuracy in a handgun, but my buddy is quite satisfied with the accuracy in the Henry.

Two groove 03A3 barrels show up on the CMP Forum regularly, four groove very seldom. Might want to post in the WTB sections there.

Sized at .452 there is a section that is not touched by the sizer at the parting line on opposite sides of the bullet. Had a PM with advice on adjusting the mold and tried that and will try casting some more tomorrow to see if it helps.

Not sure if it was mentioned but be sure to lube the pins the handle rides on, either aluminum or copper anti seize will cur friction on the handle. Only takes a small amount but prevents binding as the handle moves up and down.
