I used an RCBS mallet when I first started casting. It worked fine and I eventually wore it out (millions of splinters over several years). Now I use pieces of tree limbs I cut, sand and finish. They are free for me and work just as well.

Never thought I would see this country become as it has in my life . People are leaving GOD behind in their excitement of cheap thrills and more plastic stuff . Satan is evident . Thank you for speaking up Jim . I will pray .

Have any of you tried an peep sight on a handgun? I saw them somewhere, you replace the rear sight blade on a S&W or Blackhawk with a blade that looks like a peep sight. Wondering if they help.

Mechanical scales will never go out of style for me even though I have a couple electronic scales for less critical missions. Have a few mechanical scales. Sounds like a enjoyable time as you describe it, appreciating what you have.

You can but K1 Kerosene at Lowes (or Walmart). It is used for indoor heaters and kind of expensive. We also have a gas station that carries it in town.

I have never cleaned a new die before use. I clean dies normally after each major batch I reload. I use a heat gun to melt out the wax in the bullet seater. Then I wipe out the insides and internals of all the dies with Eezox.

I don't believe I've ever said that "if it's not in the Bible, it's not true." I said the Bible is the authority for faith and conduct for Christians. All truth is God's truth. I guess we'll disagree on whether a soul is everlasting and whether...
