Boz330 started a thread Smokers in Our Town
I would like a suggestion on a reasonably priced smoker ($500-). I bought a Masterbuilt 30" from Cabela's after using a borrowed one to smoke some deer summer sausage. It worked maybe a dozen times before the digital unit went south. I bought a new...

Mine shot pretty good with Unique and the Lee 250gr, but I shoot exclusively BP now which I find easier to clean than smokeless. There are other things to deal with but the cleaning to me is much faster than the smokeless. That is why there is...

Like Tree of heaven. Making CC from dried wood might be preferable but I have used fresh cut wood with no problems. I sure wouldn't wait for it if I needed to make powder. You can always put some back for later. Bob

Boz330 replied to a thread Pedersoli question in Single Shot Guns
Dixie Gun Works has Pedersoli parts as well. I broke a firing pin on mine last year and I got the pins from Dixie, everyone else was out at the time. BTW not a bad idea to have an extra firing pin for the 74. Mine broke in the middle of a match,...

You can do this with boiling water as well. Clean the gun till you get clean patches. Dump a couple cups of boiling water down the barrel and then clean again. They will come out black as coal. That is how I clean all my ML since someone told me...

Boz330 replied to a thread Pedersoli question in Single Shot Guns
If it is made by Pedersoli I wouldn't worry about it. The big difference is the finish and wood. Mat finish and straight grained wood shoots as good as fancy wood and high polish at a much higher price. I bought a Hunter special from Cabela's on...

I think this is just another "old wives tale" because Winchester introduced the 264 Win Mag in 1958 and rifles and ammo were readily available, then 4 years later in 1962 Remington introduced the 7mm Rem Mag. They did indeed just neck up one...

I take it you've never seen AA3100, or MR 3100 or as it was originally marketed as Mag Rifle(not in any way to be confused with Win Mag Rifle from 1990's) AA3100 is an extruded powder very similar to IMR 4831 in appearance, kernels are of VERY...

Pressure too low to seal neck to chamber, then gas flows back around outside of case. Sometimes when this happens you get a little puff of gas in the face too.

The K-31 is a fine rifle and the cost to make that today, especially as accurate as they are would be astronomical. I paid $159 for a Walnut stock example and the first handload I tried shot a 3/8" group at 100yd. You might find a new rifle that...
