Got the three boxes today; beautiful ingots, about 1.5 lb each. Perfect for my little Saeco pot.

I'm with Mr_Sheesh: you've been zapped by the nasty little black god that runs the Murphy's law court. But upnorthwis has a real good suggestion.

My hits have been from gas checks that came off the boolit. That provides enough "whack" to dent the front of the sensor but not do crippling damage. But it will kill one of the types that have the readout screen right there in the vulnerable...

I'm with you browngun -- haven't fluxed in years. I figure that is why God invented bottom-pour pots. That said, I do appreciate the beautiful clean double-fluxed ingots produced by some of our vendors.

Just for curiosity I played around with our RL-7 loads in QuickLoad. Using the Lee 200 grain boolit (very similar profile to the Accurate) with 24.5 grains RL-7 predicted 1440 fps at about 14k psi (20" bbl). Upping the charge to 26.5 grains to...

Yep, what Texas by God says. Sadly we lost w30wcf last year, the premier expert on loading for 44/40 (and lots of other stuff). I have done well with about 24 grains of the RL-7 and my 200 grain Lee that casts up about 210 grains, but seem to...

I use Hodgdon's "Universal" as being like Unique but metering better in your type application. 1.9 grains of it would be about equivalent velocity to your 1.7 Bullseye. But looking at P Flados' chart gets me thinking i'd like to try that Tightwad...

I have a beautiful 4-cavity LBT that throws a 180 grain flat nose in both gas check and plain base designs. But I find I either want the one or the other when I go to cast and I wish I'd just ordered two moulds to begin with.

As smkummer says -- you have a wee touch of the "Marlin jam #1". Here is a link to a thread where I posted some pictures of my fix using JB Weld and also has input on a heating/bending technique. Fix the dang thing right and you won't have to worry...
