I sized my checked bullets just fine. My checks are a snug fit on the boolit shank. I seat the check on fully before I size. Other than that no real issues. Leo

I think the new Brass Smith measure is more a copy of the Redding or RCBS measure than an updated 55. It least they look more like one of those than the 55. Leo

If I'm within a few hundred miles of such a deal I go fetch it myself. My car gets good mileage and for trips of that length can be done cheaper than shipping. In my car at the gas prices around me that trip would cost me about $35. Go fetch...

I used some more of my excess lumber to build some crates to hold lead ingots. I had them stacked about 50 lbs. to a cardboard box. They don't hold up well when moving them around to get to the box underneath. The plastic 30 cal. ammo cans might...

Lyman still sells an adapter for the Tru Line JR press that allows you to use modern shell holders. I have one for my presses. I haven't tried to prime with them though so I can't say for sure if that works. I prime off the press. On the 7/8's"...

Have you removed the seating stem and held it up to a bullet to see what part of the stem is making the mark? If not you may want to. This lets you see exactly where the issue is. It may be just a sharp edge that you can polish a bit so it isn't as...

I don't know how much clearance you have under your spout, If enough just set a ingot mold under there and use that as your mold guide. It catches any drips so it's easy to get them back in the pot. Leo

As I said, maybe, maybe not. I have read that at subsonic levels a checked boolit can shoot fine with out. Try it and see. Leaving off the check if not needed savers a step and a bit of pocket change. Leo

How much sizing are you doing? If more than a couple thou, it is a bit to much. If you need to go more than .001 or .002 then do it in steps. As far as making a replacement handle, it's not hard to thread the end of your round stock so you can...
