I've been told that you need to be careful of that big box sawdust because of the plywood glue in it.

I don't. I tried it one time but the yield wasn't enough to fool with it. I've got more lead than I can use in my lifetime and I'm a little short on time, so I don't want to waste it on unproductive activities.

Apologize for off topic but this weekend I visited a friend and he showed me his guns. He is not a big gun person but he had a Marlin 336(I didn't see a JM on it anywhere but it did have a slim forend. Beautiful gun. I had never seen one without...

I bought my 788 in .308 used, many years ago. Put a Leopold scope on it and probably only shot it a couple of hundred times at the range. I really don't remember how it shot. With my skill that is probably best. All the ammo was some Norma that...

I would be envious except I'm still sitting on more powder than I have time left to use. I bought it when Obama was elected the first tiem. I'm hoping my sons will take up reloading.

With so much at stake, I would not trust myself to make that call. Since I don't do max loads, it really is a moot point for me. I remember reading about Ken Water's method many years ago and didn't really understand it then either. Too many...

I've had very little go missing over the years. About a year ago, I had a quarterly estimated tax payment to the Internal Revenue Service go missing. I had to pay the bank $36 to stop payment and send another check. I just mailed a similar check...

You will never regret this. I bought one of John's guns several years ago. Paid a little more but it had the barrel band and ivory micarta grips. When I talked to him I asked when it was made. He told me about the build number and when I looked...

I have the Japanese/Browning version of that rifle. Back when I got it the only mold I could find was a Mountain Mold with the designation MM 348_BC_250. Somewhere in my records I noted that it is a bore ride boolit. I don't hunt but just wanted...

Well! They all cycled thru both guns. I didn't have time to set up a chronograph, just fired into the berm. The ejected brass cleared well with the Shield. A little less so with the 228, I guess because the slide is heavier. One round failed to...

Thanks BBB! Ive actually only loaded 14. Six in the Shield mag and 8 in the Sig 228 mag. I didn't think about not cycling but the recoil spring is very stiff in the Shield. If I can I will try it this afternoon. If not, next week.

I started posting and asking questions in another thread but got away from the primary subject of the thread and thought it best to start a new thread. I am wanting to load practice loads for the 9mm S&W Shield using Red Dot and the Lee 105 gr SWC....

Thanks! I'm going to set up the Dillon 550B and load a few to put across the chrono and see how they hit the target at about 15 yds. I'm very careful about loads that I give to sons(& DIL's). Before I posted above, I threw a few charges to see...

I seem to remember a 9mm load using 4.0 gr of Red Dot under a Lee 105 gr SWC. Now I can't find it. I'm getting ready to load a bunch for son and DIL to use for practice in a Ruger P95 and S&W Shield. I haven't given them the Shield yet so I plan...
