I don't care for the AR type rifles but having said that, I "built" two from stripped lowers and LPK's then added an assembled upper to each. For one I had to buy a separate bolt carrier group and charging handle. The only excuse I had was that I...

Since this is a thread about the S&W Shield, how would a throated barrel be accomplished? I have been told that these barrels are so hard that they seriously resist a throating reamer.

alamogunr replied to a thread 41 gas checks in Gas Checks
I've got a peanut butter jar full of .416 Gator checks. I got them from Blammer several years ago and then got away from the .41 Mag. I've since then acquired another .41 Mag revolver but haven't cast any boolits requiring a gas check. This...

That is the reason I got the Tundra. That and I don't drive it enough to be concerned about gas mileage.

Many years ago when I was trying to get started casting & loading for .45ACP, I bought 1000 pcs of plated brass that was represented as government issue match brass W/inert primers. About the only thing true was the "enert" part. The primers were...

Full size Tundra. Can be cheaper than Tacoma if you shop. Mine is basic model without all the bells & whistles that run PU's into $50K+ range.

I know that hydrogen embrittlement can be a problem with threaded fasteners that are plated. The same may hold true for plated brass. There are processes that prevent embrittlement but they may not always be followed.

I didn't need a lot but at those prices I filled some holes in my size dies and shell holders, I don't have a lot of faith in some of the Lee shell holders even though I've used them for years.

I knew I should have paid more attention in beginning thermodynamics classes in college. I still wouldn't have been able to add anything intelligent to this conversation but I might have understood it better.

I believe it was Frank Marshall in The Fouling Shot that referred to the lever action rifle as the Appalachian Assault Rifle.

Sorry! I confused DeWalt with Porter Cable. I've got several Porter Cable tools and was satisfied with them. They were made about 20 miles from where I live. When B&D bought them out, I swore off DeWalt.

I bought my first cordless tools(DeWalt), drill, saw, flashlight when 14v was the biggest available. When the original batteries would no longer work, and couldn't be rebuilt, I just bought a new drill since the cost was about the same as new...

If I ever have to accept a USPS MO again, I will take it to the bank. I deposit every thing so there will be a record of the receipt. I doubt that any MO I get will be large enough that I need the cash right away.

I did not know that you could take a USPS MO to the bank. I rarely have to cash a money order but often I do have to buy one when the seller will not accept a personal check. After reading this I wonder what kind of difficulty people in Mexico...
