Never heard of LSA before this thread. Looked it up. $14.38 for 4 oz at Amazon. I don't have any full auto guns and I'm not hard on those that I do have. I'm a sucker for anything that I can mix and the latest is a recipe I found that is...

Like georgerkahn, I worked for a manufacturer of transformer components for manufacture of large power transformers. A couple of years before I retired, they had somehow purchased an excessive amount of solid wire solder in 25# rolls. They...

A couple of years ago or so, I sold some solder rolls that I was never going to use. Used a Medium Flat Rate box. Used 1/8'' plyboard top and bottom and extra cardboard on each side. Taped it with the filament tape in all directions. I weighed...

How do I access the archives? I know I've got it bookmarked but I'm my own worst enemy by having way too many bookmarks. If someone can point me in the right direction, it will save me a couple of days going thru several hundred bookmarks.

I have just realized that I have been in error when I stated that Alox 606-55 was 55% solvent cut. I remember, sort of, reading that somewhere. Probably stated by someone just as ignorant as I was in following along. I just went to the MSDS for...

I used my homemade version of 45/45/10 on about 200 H&G 68 this past week. I still use the butter tub to apply. I have found that, usually, I get too much in the tub on the first application. I also usually slightly heat the boolits before...

I'm no expert or even half way knowledgeable and I don't know where you are located, but the big problem is going to be shipping if you expect to try selling anywhere but local.

alamogunr replied to a thread Joining an airgun forum in AirGuns
Just joined. This is more active than most forums. I won't be all that active because airguns are sort of an add on to my regular shooting, which is not all that active the older I get. I do like to keep up to date though.

I've had a full size Kimber for about 20 years. Except for a problem that I caused, it has been fully reliable. That description may be somewhat suspect since I don't shoot it all that often. I have 2 other sort of 1911's, Para Ordinance, that...

I do have a chronograph so I can start low with those powders and work up. Even though I don't have the exact gun that the grandsons have(S&W Shield) I can make sure that I don't even approach max loads. This is an incentive to get started on PC...

I had a different reason for posting but it may be of some help to you. There are some inexpensive 1911's out there. The folks on this forum seem to know their stuff. https://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=1016022 P&P posted a...

Thank you, hermans. The main reason I'm trying to get load information is that, loading for my grandsons is that they are both students, the older is in chiropractic school and the younger is still has one year of college left, if this virus thing...

I've got both the lube groove mold and the NLG mold of this boolit. Looking for load information. I plan to load a bunch for the grandsons so loads will be mid-range at most. I'm going to use the NLG to get into PC and for now the lube groove...

Does anyone know how LLA compares to Alox 606-55. It is my understanding that LLA is Alox 606 with a larger solvent cut. I just sold some Alox 606-55 to get rid of the excess quantity that I had and would never use up. I would like to be able...

I didn't know it either. Back when that Grizzly company was discontinuing its' shooting supply business, I bought a 5000 pc case of Remington 9˝M primers. I had never used Remington primers before so didn't know until this thread that there were...

I had promised to send some links and instructions where I couldn't find a link. These first ones apply only to the Alox 606-55. https://tinyurl.com/yd3wr4nq (This is an old, extensive thread. Lots of good info) This is the rustproofing...

I received my copy just before Christmas. Took my time reading it. Went from front to back without skipping ahead like I usually do on most gun books. The book also rekindled an interest in .45 ACP. Ended up buying a Dan Wesson 1911.

I had the discount from Graf's and Brownells. I found that you had to buy a minimum $$ amount to outweigh the standard shipping. I don't buy that much from either so I went back to standard customer status.
