For the last several years(all I'm aware of) solder has been specified as Tin(Sn)/Lead(Sb). For about the last 20 or so years, all solder I have seen uses this convention. I don't know about many years ago. Convention could have changed. In...

The only thing it put in my downloads folder was the executable file to repeat the download. I don't need 2 of those floating around somewhere in this darn computer. Thanks anyway. I've got the hard copy.

I went to that site and found the Lyman #3 Cast Bullet Manual but when I went thru the download procedure I couldn't find the manual. Where does it put the result? Just wanted it for convenience. My #3 is in the shop and sometimes I want to...

Regardless, 40% tin or 60% tin, it shouldn't make a substantial difference in the alloy unless you are aiming for a very high percentage of tin like 20%+.

I hate to disagree with anyone, but everything I have found shows tin/lead as the convention for specifying solder. I have several 25# rolls of 40/60 solder that are labeled Sn40/Pb60. I wish it was the other way around but I know that when it...

Wasn't Proto bought out by Stanley. I haven't seen them in a long time. I have a few Proto tools. The first wrenches I bought after college was a set of Proto metric combination wrenches. Went from 10mm to 19 mm. Since then I've ended up with a...

+1 I've had mine for many years and have probably acquired fewer guns than many licensee's but the convenience is well worth it. At my age I doubt that I will renew when it expires. That may(or may not) trigger an inspection. I'm not sure why...

I only posted that because I didn't want to be criticized for shooting a single action with only one hand. BTW, a 5 shot .45 Colt has quite a bit of recoil too if loaded to its potential.

I've been watching that video every so often for several years. It is how I learned to handle the recoil from my Linebaugh .475 L. I only shoot it when I am alone at the range. Easier for me since I'm retired. If someone shows up while I'm...

Been wearing Texas jeans for about 15 years. Found out about them on this forum back then. Duluth jeans are definitely not for us senior citizens. They short the zippers about 2". Not good in an emergency.

Sorry! I gave conflicting information in my post. The Arsenal mold(429215) is for my Browning BL-92 in .44 Mag. That is the gun I'm hoping to have better luck with.

A little late but thought I would add what little I know. I've had a Rossi .357 for several years and had about given up on an accurate load. Recently I bought an Arsenal 429215 SWC Clone mold from a member here. The weight is listed as 225 gr. ...

You have reason to be pleased. Some might have been surprised at your shot going thru the 3/4 plywood. I'm not. I was surprised when a shot from my Weirhrauch HW95 went thru 3/8 plywood and took a chunk out of the backside. Gives you a whole new...

I'm curious. How do you access the ingots? Do you always work out of the top box? My boxes(not as nice as yours), hold 100 lbs and I can only lift them to move them a very short distance. Granted, my age enters into that, but I think that...

The reforming of the grip frame does work. I had a new model Blackhawk(square back trigger guard) that made my middle finger look just like DougGuy's, if not worse. I sent it to Jack Huntingdon and had it converted into a 5 shot .45 Colt. He also...
