BK7saum has offered a few powder coated bullets for me to try. In the meantime I've been reading up on PC. If these work, I'm going to try it myself. Some of the threads I've been reading are pretty long. One goes back to 2014. If powder coat...

Thanks for that link. Junior was a good, down to earth fellow that I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet. I've also got 16 lbs, minus a little, of the same powder that I've had for several years. If I ever get the Ruger Single Seven...

As I posted, my throats pass a .315(minus) gauge. All are tight on .315. I slugged my barrel for a measured .3134 with a slight constriction felt at the point where the barrel threads into the frame. I just went to the shop and checked the bore. ...

I'll keep you updated. I looked up the .257 Jackrabbit. It looked interesting but I don't think I'm interested. I've got enough complications in my life, especially at my age. I don't need another.

Thanks! Just tell me how much postage you need(be generous with yourself) and I'll get it out ASAP. Right now I only need a few. Depending on what I find out, I may contact you again. John Schwerdt Where in OK are you located? My brother...

I would like to take 2 dogs advice and ask if anyone has any powder coated boolits .314 or more? At very least I could load a dummy and see if it would chamber. I would also like to get a few .313. This would allow me to load a few and see how...

Everything I've read about .327's mentions that throats are usually .312-.313. I don't really want to start out at max loads. If I can get a .314 boolit to chamber in a loaded cartridge, I don't think that I would have to load real heavy. Right...

I didn't count the grooves but I know it had an even number. I have measured several S&W barrel slugs using a V block that a member here supplied and got good numbers. If the Single Seven barrel had an odd number of grooves the measurement would...

I checked the throats with Meyer plug gauges. I then measured the gauge with my Brown & Sharp micrometer. Right on at .315. Anyone willing to sell me a .313 jacketed bullet? All I have found with an internet search are .312 jacketed. I can...

Ordered 4 lbs of 5744 @ $41/lb last week. Will be delivered tomorrow. Included a code that gave me free shipping and haz mat. Wish I could have swung an 8 pounder but that was a bit much. I've wanted to try 5744 for a long time, just could not...

Thanks TC. The only problem is I don't have a .315 boolit. I held off ordering a mold from Accurate. It seemed kind of expensive to pay over $100 just to see if .315 would work. If it did work, then it would be worth it. I'm tempted to see if...

I've got my new Ruger Single Seven in hand now and I think I have a problem. I've slugged the barrel and checked the cylinder throats. Results are: Barrel slug: .3134" (slightly tight where threaded into frame) Throats: .315 using plug...

Received mine yesterday. Very impressed with the packaging. No corners cut there. Original thinking that kept all 5 handles in the same relative position in that bag.

The Tennessee state sales tax is 7.00%. Local option sales tax, averages 2.45%. Most counties that I'm familiar with are as high as 2.75%. There is some relief on certain foodstuffs but I'm not sure how that works.

OK! Put me down for one 4 cavity GC. I gather from the description in the first post that this comes with 3 sets of pins, cup, HP and blank. I prefer just a flat point but who knows, the others may come in handy. alamogunr AT charter DOT net
