    I have been using The TC T-17 for black powder with good results. I swab it out before I put it in the car after a day's shooting and then when I get home, I take out the nipple, give it a couple of swabs and then dry until the patches come out...

    I have the one with the safety on the bolt & the dovetails are definitely oversized. You would really make a mess of things trying to pien it down tighter. I just now ordered the Skinner front sight in hopes that it solves the problem. Too bad...

    as many have said H2O and some soap, I like hot water but you can use just plain tap water if you like. run clean patches until dry then a couple of passes with oily patch and your done why make things complicated
