    It's a good scale, it was, maybe still is, the standard scale all others were judged against. Most anyone who made reloading equipment had a version of it. It was the first scale with this design readly available to hand loaders. Ken

    Jack, you cannot change the length of the stroke, but you can reverse the handle to up stroke or down stroke operation. For what it's worth the two I have are both set for upstroke, lift the handle to raise the rams. Ken

    Volume 1, Issue 1, March 1960. 57 years and counting. The beginning of Shooting Times. The newspaper format lasted about 3 years, I would have to count the issues and I forgot to do that, before it changed to the typical magazine format.

    Mine has a split shellholder carrier. The hole is 3/4" if I remember correctly, maybe larger. There is a set screw to clamp the front together. The typical Hollywood H type will not work.
