That would be a hard no in my book. I have cast for 22 caliber center fires before but anymore if it doesn't at least start with a 3 I don't bother. You could machine a couple pieces of brass to take 209 shotgun primers and push a 20 caliber...

I have three or four 30/06s. My 280 Remington is usually what I grab if I'm going to the mountains. I have killed alot of stuff with 30/06s but prefer my 280.

dk17hmr replied to a thread H&R huntsman? in Muzzleloading.
I have a 58 Cal huntsman with a push in breech plug that is awesome with PRB and pretty good with heavy mini balls. It has killed several deer. If I could find a 45 for a decent price I'd probably get one. The only killer for mine is the firing...

It would have to be straight for the bolt to not bind. But at the back end if the travel I think you could probably bend it as long as the spring continued to do it's job. It's straight for a reason though.

Dropped a lighted arrow nock down the barrel, it was a bit dusty but didn't look bad. Price was right at $200 out the door so I brought it home and cleaned it up. I don't have a 54 mold yet but picked up a box of Hornady great plains 425gr...

$125?...I need to find a suitable rifle and a couple barrels to convert. I have a H&R huntsman in 58 caliber that is a great round ball shooter and has account for a handful of deer across the country by myself and friends. I'd like to have a 58...

This one is wood stocked. I found a digital copy of the owners manual and they show 150gr of loose FFG with 435gr maxi hunter which sounds painful. I might go have a better look at it. I'd like to have a TC big bore 58 caliber but I don't want to...

Anyone have any experience with one? The local gunshop has a "used" TC on the rack for a pretty reasonable price. Tag says used but doesnt look used much if at all. I don't need it but don't not need it either.

45/70 would probably do exactly what you want with a 425gr Ranch Dog and a 150gr collar button. Maybe a 44mag or 45lc or 454 cassul lever action would be worth looking at. But if you don't have a 30/30 yet you might as well get one.

My wife and I so rarely go out to eat, or anywhere without the kids, that whenever the stars align and we can I could care less about WiFi and what is allowed and not allowed, only reason either of our phones are on is in case the babysitter has an...
