Friends, much as it pains me to do so, I have tendered my resignation as Moderator. There are many reasons for this but the biggest are: 1. I don't need a badge to do what I do here. 2. I am too personally involved with too many of the...

I hope by counter boring the muzzle might be of help, as it is a few thousands larger then the bore.

A very good post Eutectic. This is exactly what I have been thinking of doing (although, I was thinking of going with a Pope style seat from the muzzle.) Your idea is much more straightforward (pun intended).

These targets are available at Walmart for cheap, they can be stuck on anything, and are what has been used to demonstrate groups in this thread. This is the 1" dot. All the XCB rifles will put ten out of ten in a spot this size at 100 yards with...

Hmmm. That's about 550 FPS and 36,000 RPM faster than the very best I could do with the 30XCB in 10 twist with a 21" barrel. Ie: waaaayyyyy faster than my best efforts. I was using your 30SIL perfect neck fit. Excellent boolit quality. ...

Yes this is normal. You should be able to see the three holes in the anvil through the purple compound, but I wouldn't sweat it if you can't unless they don't shoot. Those were always really great primers. Never heard of putting them in a 30-30...

Brad, I don't know if it's the same for you as it is for me, but my rifles shoot much different off the shoulder than they do off bags and a bench. I just got done burning 50 rounds through my Marlin 45-70 Saturday in preparation for my hunt this...

I'm sorry, I got frostbite just reading that. LOL! Congrats Brad. So you gonna post pictures of the deer, rifle, load, and dinner or what? Pictures or it didn't happen. Didn't you say you were taking a 375H&H, or was that my imagination?

So three shot groups and drop it to 2100 for practical hunting accuracy. That is very reasonable. To those of you who prefer colder climates: You are nine kinds of nuts. All those years of cold weather congealed your brains, and you obviously...

One little tip I'll give you for using this stuff. Make sure it's dry as bad sense of humor before loading boolits coated in it. Not just dry over night to the touch, I mean dry as a bone for a week. It actually makes a differance in accuracy and...

Yes I have been fireforming and neck sizing. Only been sizing enough of the neck to hold the bullet. Will give the filler a try.

The RB is a 7mm or 7x57 as know today. Most of the time the shoulder on the RB is just a little different then the 7x57 round. Was using Unqiue but have also used IMR 4227. Thinking of trying IMR 4198 around 20gr load with the Lyman 287308 that is...
