Are you sure you were not pranked. If a dog was chained to a tree and left the ground around should have been tore to pieces. The chain wrapped around the tree and such. No dog unless it was already dead would just lay there and die. In fact most...

That made me think back and laugh. I bought a 1984 Chevy 1500 in Kalispell in 1988 with the 6.2 diesel in it. I had parked in front of Super One Groceries and left my pickup running since it was winter, when I came back out there was an oldtimer...

If it can be done on a lathe or milling machine or by following a pattern I am Ok but scrimshaw is way beyond me. I tried a rabbit on a knife handle one time... One fellow looked at it and said, "why does that coyote have such long ears", another...

I once made the mistake of parking behind my 89 year old dad. "Darn it kid you know better than to park behind me!" My buddy is a body man and he was looking for a new gun...he got it.

1-18 for heavier loads and 1-16 or 1-14 for wad cutters and lighter loads. The standard 1-18 will group into 1 1/2 inches at 50 yards with 158 standard velocity loads.

Have had a couple of Beretta 950s both the Jetfire and a Minx as a back up gun since 1970, never failed to function and fire and will keep them all in the head at 7 yards. It has killed several possums and a coon or two. My dad carried a Colt...

If you reline the bore the gun will shoot one hole at 50 yards. Lapping can only do so much. I start lapping with 600 grit and hand lap with a cast plug. Lap from breech to muzzle and finish with oil and rottenstone.

Remember the slower you go the less torque you get. If you need torque for something better to gear it down with pulley and belt.

Brass will be a booger to get and I would stick with lighter loads in the earlier gun. Say 1350 or so fps max with proper powder. Not a gun to hot rod as it will have the earlier steel in the barrel. 32-40 is and was a super accurate ctg and easy...

Hickory was getting at that the war was over about 9 years before the 7mm Remington Mag was introduced. It's kind of like all the "Nam" vets that are in their late 50's maybe sixty years old, think it's just the wacky tabacky talking. ;-)
