Done it as a demonstration many times a loaded 30-06 in a cardboard box. The primer is the most dangerous as it really flies out of the pocket and will penetrate a layer and a half of cardboard, next is the case if the brass shears off the bullet...

1-70 should be great for round ball with up to 90 or more grains of powder and I would guess best accuracy at 100 yards with 80 or more. You will need range time and work but you can get it to shoot into under 4 inches at that range with iron...

First a LOT of those were cut with 2 1/2" chambers and ANY 2 3/4 load is a danger. Second it needs to be checked by a competent gunsmith to see if it is Damascus faux Damascus or just tubing. If it is 2 3/4 which I doubt, and if it has good solid...

Remember fr a rimless ctg you will need a special extractor and for rimmed you can weld up and use the old one. I would stay with a low pressure round and would prefer a 38-55 or 32-40. You can get a little springing with the 303 if you load warm...

The round key locks are an easy open to a fellow with the right tool. A good locksmith should have that open in 10 minutes. We had a car wash thief that spun them open in a 3 minute wash. Shouldn't cost that much to open.

Bears is a wide subject, there is a vast difference between a 125 pound black bear and a 1000 pound grizzly. Mostly bears are thisk skinned with masses of real muscle and gristle and you need to penetrate that and still break bones. On a griz the...

If you mean easy to shoot bears don't have thumbs! If you mean to do damage to people it isn't really all that special it demands proper placement and most folks won't practice enough for that, same as the 38 special. It will kill deer hogs...

Carbine or rifle we have found that on some rifles the front sight dovetail is too tight and when they force in the sight this puts a wrinkle in the bore under the sight. All in all we have found that the 44-40 rifles are more accurate than the 45...

The wife's vehicle and mine do not have gas caps or locking gas doors, they have built in anti-siphon features but without a locking gas door something could be poured into the tank.

They don,t size the case just re-crimp the bullet into the case and you need to use either they bullet they cast or a factory spec bullet. They rely on a full charge of holy black to hold the bullet in place.
