Powder coat round balls? Like the old saying, to a man with a hammer everything is a nail.

There can be a lot of difference even in the same mold number from year to year or whenever the mold cherry was replaced. It is generally not a large difference in loading data but may be in accuracy.

MT Gianni replied to a thread Free Range Brass in Our Town
There is a chert mine from the old Native American days near me. They used it both as a flint sparker and for arrowheads. Ours has a carmel color. The only brass I see at our county range is steel cased imports. I would bet the single case was to...

I ate some quince jelly 40 + years ago but have never seen one in a grocery store or a tree. They must not transport well.

I agree with Preacher Jim on the 22-250 parent brass. I cut back 308 Win brass and lost a lot of case volume and that caused me to have to lower my max powder use as I was popping primers with normal pressure loads with 120 grain A-Max bullets. I...

I have a 14" bbl and get my best groups with a 95 gr wadcutter, followed closely by the 150 gr 311440. My groups open up when I go over 170 grains with the RCBS 180fp but it might be just me.

I use a Lee 90 swc and 2.5 gr of Red Dot in 32 long for an easy plinker. I shoot that out of the H&R also in 32 long cases. If I were to duplicate it I might add 0.2 more for the larger case.

So much depends on what you want to do with it. The Lee 113 fp soup can will punch holes in paper and jackrabbits all day long. I like the Ly 311466 or the NOE version as well as the Saeco 315 which has done well in every 1 in 10 twist I have used...

Who made your brass? That headstamp is huge. My Starline 50-70 brass headstamp is much smaller.

I've seen some of those "Long-range" stages at some SASS Shoots. Those 44 caliber bullets tumbling end over end would probably still hit at 25 yards.

It has always run higher than anything else. 8 lb kegs are usually $25 over anything else and the cheapest way to buy it if you really need it.

Mike Belm warns against top loads in the Encore with 300 Winchester as it can exceed the max psi of 60K. An Encore is built a lot tougher than a Handi. They still have quite a following, I might sell and buy something else if I was tired of it....

I obviously did because after I deprimed like a 1000 cases, it was tossing scratches all over the brass! I've dissasembled and cleaned it twice. Our gun club must be sited over a diamond mine or something as that carbide is definitely scratching...

Most of us are gun people, we shoot, practice and read about them. We should not give advice to those who have no interest in them other than the one time they might keep someone alive. That person will neither practice nor carry on a regular basis....

P Flados it is not that you are doing something wrong. It is more likely you are doing something you do not intend to do like sizing the cases down to much. Easy test. Pull a bullet after you have crimped the case and measure the diameter of the...
