I do however in 16 gauge applications use both of the Claybuster knockoff of the AA16 both the one ounce and 7/8 ounce . For a round ball application the 7/8 wad might work just a touch better as it has thing in the bottom to displace 1/8 ounce of...

I’ll eventually try roundballs in my 10 , 12 and 16 gauge guns . However I plan on using the same wads I use for other applications SP-10 , SP-12 , CB WAA12 , CB WAA16 and SP-16 . I try my best to use what I would call main stream stuff so for one...

My bad for the misunderstanding......As Outpost75 has developed an affinity for RL7 loads I preferred 44 magnum rifle loads using PB'd bullets using H4227. I simply haven't tried RL7 loads yet. Been some time since I loaded for a 44 Magnum rifle...

Let's nnot rule out the 4064 until you try it. It's going to be like a very, very slow lot of IMR4895 is all. Just because I never used it before doesn't mean it won't work just fine.

I've not really used a lot of 4064 for many years in my M1A/M14s and none with cast bullets. Even back then I preferred 4895 for use with match bullets and cast bullets. However, that's not to say 4064 won't work with your cast bullet in your M1A....

Ruger would replace the trigger parts with NM parts (transfer bar) and would repair the over rotation if that did not fix the problem.

I don't want to shoot any high velocity loads may not be compatible with shooting longer, heavier cast bullets in a 1:38 twist. To stabilize those bullets may have to be driven fast. A 240 - 250 gr SWC at 1050 - 1100 fps over 8 gr Unique will...

Concur. Titegroup is a fast burning, easily ignitable powder that does well with reduced loads. The "safety margin" involved is the danger of a bullet not exiting the barrel. Just make sure to use enough for all bullets to positively exit the...

BCB Not sure if GL allows/computes use of MRAD adjustments(?). However, I much prefer the finer .25 per click adjustment of most MOA scopes vs the .36 per click of most MRAD scopes. With a precision rifle of sub moa accuracy the courser...

Given the larger the case volume along with the smaller the expansion ratio of the 45-70 case the less any appreciable increase in psi will be found between standard length cases and the Hornady FTX length cases. As several have mentioned they've...

Will Ruger sell you a new cylinder? I have an older 45 Colt, Bisley BH that has a roll marked, unfluted cylinder with 0.455 throats. Would love to have a new one that's around 0.451-0.452. I have a 0.4525 reamer set.

From my treatise on my 45-70 trapdoor loads; PART III: I had several reasons for developing duplex 45-70 loads. Maintaining accuracy w/o cleaning between shots or every 10 shots or so was foremost as I didn’t want to carry a lot of cleaning...

The Lyman SME receiver sight or the M48 sight fits the M96 as well as the M98 because the rear receiver ring is essentially the same ssize on both.
