The harvest of a really good deer on your own land, that you tilled, planted, pay for and sweated the details, made encouraging for the deer's passing, is table fare, taxidermy, and memories above all else. I give credit to the Land Owner, my SCDNR...

In advance of hunting season, I prep and plant wildlife food plots, farming three dozen woodland acres in several states, and have done this for 25 years. Lawns are not farms. Some similar techniques may be employed on a lawn, but wholesale...

Call your local Agricultural Extension Agent and ask for a Master Gardener. Tell them what you have and want to do. Follow their advice. You won't go wrong in that.

The power probably needs to heat the concrete mass in the floor - for a time - before the radiant heat starts to leach through (at least I think so) - then the heat probably lasts a good while after the power is off. Figuring when to cycle it on...

For me, the "Guard" changed its uniforms and insignia to make us look like a Bus Driver's convention, returning to work for the Federal Department of Transportation rather than the years of service under the Secretary of Defense at the culmination...

Fishing weights could be anything. I made some from pure lead. Others from 49-49-2 percent Pb/WW/Sn. Some from straight WW's. No way to really tell hardness, except by a tester. No way to tell metal composition either, except by lab analysis.

Some casual cast boolit thinking: Historical evidence indicates, in the lead days (BHN ~6) before alloys of wheel weights, Old Timers learned that "slow" (a relative term) and heavy for caliber cast boolits were suitable Buffalo "medicine" and...

Sierra1911 - great solution! Thanks. Was focused elsewhere, dropping loads on the beam scale, waiting for the PACT, and had not though of that "help it along" approach. Perhaps I will dust off my "as new" machine and put it into production.

Now that I look closely at the pictures of the two plugs, similar in every respect except voltage and amperage (and I doubt these small devices make any difference), I suspect the "O" rings are probably hard. I have not checked that. Is there a...

The scale is used every day, is incredibly FAST, has flawless, and nearly instantaneous output, except for very small powder charges, which are best weighed on a beam scale. The Powder Measure remains in its box as "brand new", having been used...
