Ah-ha! New information not in the OP. Can the maker of these ornaments be questioned in regard to their content? Would be a good place to start anyway...

The disk spring pack (#186131 - 6 washers) on the inside can and do break and "wear out". A call to RCBS will get you new ones, no questions asked.

I believe the complete quote to be: "If it moves, salute it. If it doesn't move, pick it up. If you can't pick it up, paint it." Followed closely by: "Measure with a micrometer. Mark with chalk. Cut with an axe. Paint to match." It's...

Land Owner replied to a thread Zink bad? in Lead and Lead Alloys
Some casters discover their melted alloy has the consistency of oatmeal and won't dispense through a bottom pour spout. That's a tell-tale sign of too much zinc. Some casters save their zinc wheel weights and make zinc-only boolits too. The...

Or... Cut a SIZED and deprimed case 1/2 way, lengthwise, with a hack saw. Pre-flair the case mouth just enough (a tiny bit - maybe even only chamfer/debur the inside edge) to allow slight resistance to finger insertion of your flat based SWC (or...

I picked up and used my steel calipers to measure the diameter of my alloy as cast Lyman #311-041 for Marlin 336C 30-30 boolits in order to properly respond to a poster's OP.

Imo, bee's wax is expensive, unless you are a bee keeper. Ask your spouse, GF, mom, sister, their GF's, ladies at church/school, etc., to keep their candle wax for you and if they find some at a yard sale, to call you to see if they can purchase it...

Land Owner replied to a thread first boolit fail! in Cast Boolits
Yes sir. The 45 ACP SWC was my "first", but definitely not my last. Over time, for home protection I put my growing knowledge and resources into the Lyman 185 gr. "Devastator" as my 45 ACP boolit of choice - YMMV.

Land Owner replied to a thread Marlin 336c in Cast Boolits
For clarification, and NOT putting words in sghart's mouth, he made a comment, posted it, thought better of the answer, and edited it out of existence himself. In that effort, he suggested he "wasted" those electrons. It was NOT a directed comment...

Not really wasted - but they were greatly inconvenienced. Nelsonholsters - I have a pair of 336C's in 30-30 caliber and have been loading 0.311" diameter 173 gr. FN GC (180 gr. w/GC and wax lube) Lyman #311-041 over IMR 4227 (Lyman 4th Ed. Manual...

Land Owner replied to a thread Arthroscopy surgery in Our Town
Arthroscopy applies a tourniquet to the top of the calf and another right above the knee. Then from those two "anchor points" they violently FORCE the knee joint and wrestle it apart so there will be sufficient space for the arthroscope. I don't...
