Very true ! I had a Savage 210F 12 gauge rifled as well . That thing while shooting well was a beast to carry . When I got the 220 it was like a breath of fresh air it carried like most any long action rifle and handled as well .

I bought a flat of some Euro trash factory 20 gauge buckshot loads that were #1 buck . They'd probably do in a pinch , but the two 20 gauge SxS's I was shooting buckshot in liked handloaded #2 and #3 more .

To me one of the best features of the 220 is the weight and handling . You put a clunky old laminate stock on it and that goes to **** .

Shoot it before you order the stock , if it shoots ok without the laminated stock I see no reason to waste the money .

IMHO you should have shot it first before wasting money on a new stock. Mine with the Remington factory loaded AccuTip slugs 2 3/4" shoots very well at 100 yards . Three inside 1.5" is no big deal . I will say I have the AccuTrigger in mine down to...

I bought a 220 before they were even being advertised other then the distributer catalogs and I like the gun quite a bit . The Weaver bases were not an issue as well as I can remember but I do remember needing to get Weaver extension rings to make...

Thank you ! I wanted the 12 gauge to kinda make my skeet/trap/clays SxS out of it plus I like EH/GH grade guns . I have a set of 32" twist barrels for my 3 frame Parker 10 gauge but this should be a skoosh more shootable . That 10 gauge I got...

Made the deal last week for a circa 1896 Parker GH 12 gauge 32" Damascus barreled double that's in need of some work ! All is there and shootable just it needs some cosmetic touch ups before I'll be suited . Someone sanded the checkering off so my...

To each his own . I cast a bunch of 0000 and 00000 all water quenched WW's . They both patterned well enough for my needs and the 00000 certainly laid the smack down on the one deer i fired it at this past season .

Played with a suppressed Hog Hunter in 308 shooting sub sonic for awhile . I always liked the 338 Federal so naturally I wouldn't mind trying one in the 338 Federal also ,

I like them both . I had an 8mm REM Mag in the first three or four years it was out and liked it quite a bit . I've also played with a couple 300 H&H Mags . The 8 Mag is better compared to the 338 Win Mag which I've also owned and like . The 300 H&H...

I have the almost same story. I bought a Ruger Redhawk 44 mag off of Gunbroker knowing full well the cylinder had issues turning and the hammer had issues when you drew it back. I paid $400 for it. Stole it basically. Called Ruger, got an RMA....

Ruger precision rifle 308. Have a Shepherd DRS 6-18X40 coming for it. I have a Loopy on it now. This is the best Rifle out of the box I ever owned. Minute of angle from the first shot, banged steel at 500 yds but a lot of that was luck and the fact...
