For Jap Trap you need a field that has both skeet houses and a trap house . But you just use the trap thrower and shoot from the skeet stations . Start at Skeet station 1 and you shoot until you break a bird then to the next and shoot until you...

My old new to me Parker 10 gauge did fair to middling today at the skeet field went 46 out of 50 . I don’t usually shoot many straight rounds with the 10 gauge guns , typically it’s 23 or 24 for a round . So for a first trip I’m satisfied . Shot...

I have about 30 rounds of 10 gauge 2 7/8" with 1 1/8 ounce #8's and 19 grains of Red Dot for the 28" Parker 10 gauge . Also have approx. 100 rounds of 28 gauge loaded for the little circa 1970 Belguim Browning Superposed 28 gauge skeet gun . Might...

Made it to the range Thursday . Was able to get some quality groups with my circa 1891 Parker EH 10 gauge 2 frame with factory 28 CYL/IC barrels shooting the Russian knockoff for a 10 gauge of the Lyman sabot slug . It weighs about 620-630 grains ....

Hey D, As you know I hunt your area. My wife shoots a Ruger M77RL Ultralight in 243 and about 4 years ago I made the switch from my Ruger M77 VT (10 + lbs with scope, gets heavy at 60....) to a Ruger Gunsite Scout outfitted with an Ashley full...

I gotta agree once you’re up to .40” let’s say it starts getting a little sticky to put the shot in layers of 2 . FWIW all my loads are in the 1000-1100 FPS range and they same to hammer deer fairly well . The surprising thing was how well this...

When I load the 0000 or 00000 I cut the petals from the SP-10 wad and use a Mylar wrap but as you stated I can only get two per layer . With the 730 grain slug I need to also remove the petals and use a Mylar wrap . But for the 630-640 slug I can...

I also load some slugs for the short 10 . One weighs 730 grains and the others about 620-640 . I assume you're shooting them in an autoloader . But in my old doubles I don't wish to use a load like you are speaking of and put that kinda strain on my...

Beagle I feel your pain. I've had three spinal fusions over 30 years and my entire cervical spine is fused all the way up except for 1-2. Blew out a shoulder a few years back and there's so much scar tissue on my right side all you can see is white...
