One of the reasons the 45 Colt gets a bad wrap for accuracy is the 45 Colt came out long before standardization of case and chamber specs. The case and the chamber on the 45 Colt don't match up as well as some of the other cases. The chamber is...

Percussion caps sell for 6 to 10 cents each. 209 primers sell for 2 to 3 1/2 cents each. I would love to find a source of caps for less than 209's. If you have a source please share it.

What I saw was a 3D printed jig that allowed the 308 brass to be held at the correct length and cut with the HF saw. Each cut piece was ejected by the next piece inserted. There was some kind of a detent pin that registered off the extractor...

If your $1/lb source is smelting WWs, his supply will run out before you expect it to. Are you willing to keep paying him to sort them for you? The only dependable source is your own inventory stockpilled before they are unobtainable.

Nothing more satisfying than turning trash into treasure. When cast and successfully fired down range it puts a smile on your face that is recognized by everyone there.

Not all aluminum is created equal, but an AR Lower doesn't place heavy demands on its material. Low recoil and its main function is to hold the trigger group in place. There are functioning units made of plastic and fiber, so any metal should work.
