Found it but is there ruger/ tc data as well? I've seen some loads that say Ruger or Thompson but not in the Lyman book. Seems like most of the loads I see popping up on here have more than the max load in the Lyman book.

I pan lube 4570 and made a cookie cutter for removing the bullets. Used a fired 458 win mag case and I drilled out the primer pocket and put a wooden dowel in for a pushrod to knock the bullets out. I soldered some copper pipe to the case for a t...

Eventually if the revolver likes cast bullets then I'll probably get a lube a matic. But I'd hate to invest the money into getting one till I'm sure it will shoot cast well.

Guess I had a brain fart there. I have an older one without that load in it and a Lyman load data book without it in it. Probably should order the updated version of them.

Anyone have any published data for the Lee 310 in the 44 Magnum. I see people throw out lots of loads in the forums but haven't seen any actual published data for it. I'll probably use h110 or 2400 for powders although I'm a little concerned of the...

Do you lube it with anything before you seat the check in the sizer? I'm thinking I may spray them with hornady one shot first.

The local range I go to bulldozed the berm this spring to a nice layer of clay. They recently opened it up for the year so there wasn't really much there but how would you go about recycling from a clay berm? I picked up about a dozen slugs from on...

Never really cared for tumble lubed bullets. They seem to attract dirt and gunk to the noses of loaded cartridges. Seemed like dirt was always finding a way onto my .45-70 boolits when I was hunting.

Going to be loading lee .430-310s for .44 mag. I don't have a lube sizer yet so I'm probably going to pan lube. I may just get a push through sizer from Lee. Should I pan lube and then put the gas check on while sizing it through the die or should I...

My previous molds had the notches in the mold blocks and didn't always align that well. One had some horizontal steel pins in it that were undersized and didn't work very well either. This one seems to close solidly and appears to be free of any...

Got my 6 cavity in today from Midway. Seems much better built than the 2 cavities I had. Haven't had a chance to cast yet. I've got to smelt some ingots first.

Maybe I'll find a set of gauges to bring with me then. I wonder if removing the barrel and chasing the threads could remove a frame constriction. I'd rather run it through a fresh tap and die than fire lap it. Could even put the barrel in a lathe...

I'm getting my first revolver soon. As soon as the judge signs my permit paperwork anyways. I plan on getting a Ruger super blackhawk hunter in 44 magnum. I plan on shooting exclusively cast bullets from it. I know I won't be able to slug the barrel...

Do you guys buy separate handles for every 6 cavity or swap them out between molds.

The 44 I'm going to be reloading for I actually don't have yet. I'm getting my pistol permit which could take a few more weeks or months. Once I get it and can slug it and mic the throats and see if she'll like cast then I'll most likely get a good...

Ordered the Lee 430-310 6 cavity. It's on sale on Midway USA. With the handles it was under 60$. I'm seeing a lot of people use synthetic 2 stroke oil for lubing it. I may go that route. This won't be my first mold so I'm hoping to get well over...

I have 10# of wheel weights and a10# downrigger ball and 10# of mystery alloy at the moment. Used to have over 1000# of wheel weight ingots but they got stolen after a flood 5 years ago. The woman has a bunch of those little print blocks I think...

Most around my area don't sell. I was hoping the heavy duty deep cycle batteries would have more lead % in them than car batteries. I even tried trading one yard equal amounts of brass for lead and they wouldn't

Someday I'll probably get a nice iron mold but I lost all my casting equipment about 5 years ago in a flood and have been on hiatus with cast loads since then. Have to rebuild my stash too. Used to have 1000+ lbs of wheel weight ingots but someone...

Is there a quality difference between the lee 2 cavity and 6 cavity models or just the increase in production. I'm thinking I'm going to get the 430-310gr for my 44 and get back into casting but if quality isn't any different I'll probably just go...

I know car batteries are not really a great source of lead but what about forklift cells. Have a friend who has 6 dead cells and was wondering if it was worth the hassle.
