I guess I differ some with some others - I try to keep a fairly full pot when I cast, and return the sprues as soon as they are knocked off. I believe that minimizes temperature fluctuations, and also keeps a fairly constant head-pressure. Cast the...

Sadly, they are stacked, about 4 high, right in front of my work bench...stumbling over them was incorrect terminology(sorry), I should have said, "in the way...and reaching over them is a pain"

I am hankering to do some smelting. I haven't done any for a couple years. I have 50 to 100 lbs of range scrap plus another 200+ lbs of unfired boolits and random fishin weights to melt. I'm just waiting for the mud to dry up in my smelting...

I'm not sure what pressure you are loading to, but if your 20:1 has been working good for you, Then you will probably want to mix about 6 lbs of your pure lead to 1 lb of linotype, that will bring the antimony down to about 2%, but tin will be well...

I quit the 44 leverguns, due to how Marlin and Henry make the barrel groove diameter and twist rate. If you can find a Marlin in 41 and can afford it, I'd buy it. I have one and love it. Last year I bought a Henry Big Boy Steel in 41. I like...

I no longer load 44 mag, but I did REALLY like HS-6 for mid level loads in 44 mag, back when I loaded for it. I've never tried it in the 500.

I agree, "I think most of the wax around cheese is a Microcrystalline food grade low melt temp" I have saved some wax from a brand of Irish cheddar cheese, it had a pretty thick layer of wax. It's surely not hard like Carnuba Wax is. This...

Yep, this is what I would do. Generally you can both see (light colored area) and smell freezer burnt meat...the smell is more of a "stale" type smell, not a rotten smell. It's easy to trim it off.

I've heard about problems with "UPS Stores". I am lucky to have a UPS regional Hub in my small town, never had any major problems with them. Although one time, when shipping 5 bricks of 22lr ammo, I was asked how many rounds? Since I never had...

Echo replied to a thread cast bullet for .380? in Cast Boolits
I have reloaded for a friend's Sig-Sauer 380 (SWEET gun!) using the Lyman -242 boolit. Worked great once I got the COL right - no FTF's, no stovepipes, and hit what we aimed at. (She told me she had it, and I asked her "Nickle or blued?", and she...

They don't make the 41 cal SWC in 6 cavity molds either. I asked 3 months ago. I got this response, "Unless you buy 30 molds, There is a $175 setup fee"

The tough part when milling the entire mold top will be dealing with the sprue bolt holes...they will probably have to be deepened and re-tapped...I think they are designed to "bottom out". Plus you'll lose some boolit weight. I sent you a PM. Jon
