The back story is, my reloading bench is behind me, but it has become a work bench and I can no longer find the top. The easiest solution seemed to build a new bench. It's small so I have to keep it clean and neat. Mr. Frog Person, you are...

Super Turret #352 is back for sale at $6k. It is in excellent condition and has lots of stuff w/ it. That price is reasonable, but can probably be bought for up to $1000 less.

Do you have any dies for it? It's an interesting design for certain, and well advanced for the 1920's when Constantine Schmitt designed it. I have one along with it's little brother, the Model 12. There is very little Schmitt literature...

Yep, I like it. The longer handle and improved linkage really increases the amount of force applied. The 30 Gov cases sized like 44 magnum. The longer handle throw would feel better if I mounted the press on a 3 or 4 inch riser. I have the...

I did it, it's big and the quarter turned upper frame is not as convenient as the RC. I am going to size some 30 Gov. 1906 case's and then decide if I like it in this application.

When I built my new bench it had to fit a very specific location, thus it's small. I have a 1st generation Rockchucker on there now as I think they are the best of the best. And, no I am not opinionated:-P. But, everytime I walk by the Big Max...

Nice! Even better that you got it before it could be used and beat more. Good work.

Stripping and repainting this press would be a disaster for it's value. These presses are rareand can bring big bucks to the right collector, if they are all original.

Those not marked RCBS are Lyman dies for the tong tool and Tru-Line Jr press. Your picture quality is not clear enough to ID the purpose of the RCBS. I have to admit that I have not seen anything like them, though RCBS did make some tools that...

This has been discussed numerous times and a SEARCH would have given the OP the answer. Work smart, not hard.

The difference between a 45/70, 40/65 or a 50/70 using a 30" barrel and a 22" barrel with real BP is more pronounced than with smokeless. I don't have hard and fast numbers as to velocity differences but some insight can be gained from the...

Nice project, I had been thinking how to work down the two large slabs I have stashed away. ears ago my father converted an old Sears radial arm saw into an overarm router. It worked well and I used it to level out two large walnut slabs for...

I took it to mean we are predestined by God that if we believe in the Christ as our saviour then we will be equipped to do God's work on earth. Nothing in any way about predestined to be saved, that is false theology. Ken

Unfortunately, I got the camera angle a bit off making it hard to see the cutter blade. The blade and pilot fit into the holder head with the slit in the pilot shank going over the blade, both are then secured with a single set screw. I also...

I am thinking, that since .50BMG lives in the North LA metro area that this press may have come directly from Lachmiller after the sale to RCBS. It would not be uncommon for one or two of them to go home with someone, like a designer, who loved the...

These early Reddings take a pilot with a slit in the shaft. They turn up only rarely. Someone with the right tools could probably make them from new pilots.
