Lloyd, My two .308’s shoot the Sierra 165 GameKing’s sub MOA. I bought 500 of the same lot number which for me is a lifetime supply. I am a KISS person. It really is more bullet than I need for Michigan deer but it works. As to your...

Modern farming practices killed off all the grouse and pheasants by me. Canít tell you the last time I saw a wild one of either species. Every year one of two farm raised pheasants will make their way into town from the game lands a few miles...

Case head is slightly larger. Donít know if itís large enough to necessitate a completely new bolt. But it is possible that a different one is needed. You are right about the latter part. They should have used the specs from the 357AR which...

This sums it up well. Pull the barrel theyíre to be used in and see if they pass the plunk test. If they do then youíre good to go.

This is how itís most comfortable for me. Especially w/ Cramer style hollow point molds. I use a gloved hand to open once fully up to temp. The first pour or two may require some assistance from an oak dowel.

You donít need a table but it helps. Iíve used mine w/out one sitting in a hotel room and using it on my lap. I donít do any ďheavyĒ operations like that. In general I donít do any ďheavyĒ operations w/ it. It will resize rifle cases. But it...

It will run in Wine. But it may not just run out of the box and you will have to adjust settings. No, software as a service needs to go away all together. I want to pay once and then itís mine. If I donít want to upgrade thatís on me. W/...

I switched to Ballistol a long time ago. It doesnít fall into the cheap category at around $100 a gallon. But itís non-toxic, safe on all materials, thicker and clings to parts and it doesnít gum up in cold weather. The last part doesnít apply to...

No way the barrel is .227+. It will not shoot jacketed bullets at all if it is. Use another micrometer or mic a jacketed bullet to verify the readings. If it really is a .227 barrel, contact CZ and they should replace it at no...

I love my G22's. Even bought a Lonewolf 9mm conversion and 9mm mags so I can shoot two calibers with one gun. Mine is boringly reliable which is what I want in a SD gun. I shoot tighter groups with the Kimbers, but that level of precision is...

For handguns it is a waste of time for the vast majority of guns, shooters, and applications. I used to do it until I started shooting a lot. If I still shot Bullseye, and had the skill I had 40 years ago, I would sort for the 50 yard stages and...

Larry Gibson gave you the best insight IMHO. BTW, starting with a 5.56 in cast is not a good place to be, and you can look forward to an immense level of frustration. I would suggest NOT even trying unless you are more of an experimenter and...

Agree. It is not as fast as a good 6 cavity mold but it allows you to cast for longer periods of time. I have nerve damage and cannot work with heavy molds for very long anymore. You want a consistent and very clean alloy so that is what I...

Lots of good choices above. My favorites are the Anschutz repeater my dad gave me over 55 years ago (still shoots less than 1.5 MOA with junk bulk ammo), a Winchester M52 sporter and the 10/22. If I was buying one now, it would be the CZ.

This morning I was reading a long thread on the .350 by Oldfeller on this site. He was working with an AR. Worth reading if you plan on loading the .350. There were (are?) a few issues with .350 cases that sounded concerning. It is nice to...

Nothing is permanent, especially nations. If they really wanted out they would fight again. Time has seen nations and empires come and go. Nothing has changed that would prevent this from happening now.

This has been an interesting read.... A lot of work and experimentation that will help others on a similar quest. I would never make the journey as I have so little patience and talent yet I can appreciate those qualities in others.

If you buy the brass directly from Starline, they ship it for free. The prices for 44 Mag brass are $110/500 cases and $191/1000. So if you buy 1000 cases, it's a little more than 19 cents per case (for new stuff).
