What Paul considered to be garbage was all the things associated with the way he tried to please God before his conversion (i.e., his adherence to the Law). He realized none of these things made him acceptable to God so they lost value to him. ...

There are three “heavens” in the Bible. #1 is the sky #2 is outer space. #3 is the place where God’s presence is manifested like nowhere else in creation. This is the place modern people think of when they use the term “heaven.” 2...

Back in my younger days as an E-3 in USAF, I'd go shoot up all my loaded rounds except for 6 which I kept loaded in my one revolver for emergencies. Then I'd reload all my brass and do it again. Times sure have changed.

Exactly how a sinful nature is passed from parent to child is not fully understood and debated. My thought is that it has something to do with the physical body, sort of like a birth defect we are all born with. My reason for thinking this is that...

I really like Ruger products. But I have come to the conclusion that before I buy another one I want to have it in my hands to examine. I have sent in three revolvers for work and haven't been impressed with the quality of the repairs. One...

Ickisrulz replied to a thread 1 Samuel 10:9 in Our Chapel
I understand the intent of the question and it seems simple on the surface. But it begs the comparison of the experience of New Testament saints to that of individuals in the Old Testament. What does it mean to be given a "new heart?" Based on...

I know about the stickies and the intended purpose of this sub forum. But the fact is that questions asked in the Chapel will involve a theological answer. How can you answer what it means to be faithful or what do you want God to say to you when...

I have spent hundreds of hours in classrooms. I have never been in a class where questions were not allowed. The only place where I see anyone giving a lecture where questions are not asked is in church. So I suppose the Chapel is like a church...

Abraham is known as a man of faith and obedience-- rightfully so. But he did not become so overnight. He had failures and successes just like all of God’s people. Abraham’s biblical account is unique in that it fully shows the evolution and...

My choice of words were poor when I wrote "Christians are not judged as far as answering for their sins on Earth." I should have wrote: Christians are not judged as far as suffering penalties for their sins on Earth. I cannot disagree with...

My idea behind quoting the parables is that people will either have done well or have not done well. They will either be saved or lost. The parables show the divide between true followers of Christ and others. Char-gar hit the theological nail...

Whether man made climate change is a fact or not, Christians should be good stewards of the Earth. What this means for each individual and their family is between them and God.

This was my original answer. I didn't post it for fear that I'd be seen as arguing theology again in the chapel.

Since the original question was phrased as "what do you not want your Lord to say to you" this response makes the most sense so far. The New Testament provides two possible answers: 1. I never knew you. OR 2. Well done.

At least some of the new Weavers are made in Japan. I have two newer scopes both marked as coming from Japan (Classic K-4 and Rimfire 2.4-7X28).

It also helps to use a seater stem designed for pointed bullets rather than flat ones when seating flat pointed bullets. The recess for the point in the seater stem gives a place for excess lube to go and allows for less frequent die clean outs. I...

The website is still showing a ship date of early August, but it doesn't look like they have. I haven't bothered Henry by asking for an update. I have come to the conclusion that their advertised ship dates are overly optimistic.
