Well I got around to shooting it today with some cast and lubed 450 gr slugs. With the blade I Had made for it, shot 8 feet low. I crawled down till I was nearly on the bottom of the blade and there it was hitting on at 100 yds. I went and took the...

I remember that thread. Wasnt the grit of the peanuts speculated as bad for accuracy? I recall someone tried dry lubricants suspended in wax base and it didn't work too well. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

I definitely prefer getting hit by 12 VDC or 24Vdc over 115 VAC at 400HZ (aircraft operating voltages at about 90/180 KVA). Houses run around 110 VAC at 60HZ and I dont know the KVA. Last time I got hit by house wiring I just took a nap felt...

Hmm mix that with candela wax and we might be on to a good black powder lube. Candella wax is a bee wax alternative that has similar properties to keep oil and water mixed. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

Aint gonna hurt a thing. Keep it lubed and it will last a long time. I also recommend getting a tube of antiseize for the bottom of the sprue plate. It doesnt migrate as bad and last longer. It protects the top of the block better in my opinion....

Perfectly fine. I wouldn't even try and fix it.. Its a type of galling. The hot blocks wear faster. Lube the bottom of the sprue plate with antiseize will really help get that under control and slow it down. 2 cycle engine oil works also. Just...

Do search for copper sheet, copper foil or copper whether sheeting. Just find the gauge to suite your needs. I would try and find it local at hardware stores or craft stores before ordering off amazon Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

Country Gent, my plans for this rifle, is informal target shooting, steel clangers mostly, and hunting. I have a very heavy 40/82, that is a tack driver, a Win Hi Wall 38/55 that shoots 265 or 338 gr slugs better than I could ever hope to shoot...
