ATR - where did you get the 165gr cast bullet mold? What diameter does the mold drop, or what do you size them to? I'd be interested in trying cast in my 7Mag. (Sorry my 4064 load didn't work out![smilie=1:)

When you experiment with Red Dot in your 7Mag, try a "pinch" of kapok (pillow stuffing) to keep the small amount of powder next to the primer for more consistent velocity and accuracy. While not a Red Dot load, my favorite reduced powder load is...

kaiser replied to a thread Fs tikka t3 30-06 in Swappin & Sellin
I have one like it in stainless that is the most accurate 30/06 I've ever owned (I owned lots). I have not seen a left handed model Tikka in our area. Outstanding deal for a "southpaw"!

I've had very good luck with the Lee's 340gr. cast bullet in my 1885 Browning. It shoots as well as any of the 300gr "J" bullets with comparable powder loads.

Oops, sorry about the gender mistake from one who has worked with great male and female nurses! My age has been betrayed by my assumptions. Sincerely, Kaiser

I've had one for several years in .32acp. Excellent pistol that is both accurate and reliable. I've even reloaded for it (whew!) but is basically limited to powder preference and bullet choices. I bought it because it looked and handled like a "PP...

You are doing right! The advise and wisdom given above is "solid" (IMHO). I pray you will be blessed and strengthened. She, as a nurse, has done a wonderful thing by enabling you to recover through her skills; however, the emotional ties associated...

I have a 16" SS 92 Rossi/Puma in a .357/.38Spl. It is my favorite varmint and "pick-up" gun. The bigger calibers in this super light weight have too much recoil and whoever said that metal butt plate can hurt you off the bench has been there, done...

I own both brands and they both have been reliable and trouble-free. I have the Nikon Monarch, which seems (to me) to be a bit better optically than any of the Weavers', while the field of view and eye relief of both brands are about the same. I've...

Pistols preference is a more personal choice as to how it fits the hand, operates (safety features, etc.), and pleases the eye than just reliability. Reliability is a prime concern, however, especially to those among us whose lives depend on their...

One of the reasons NOT(!) to start loading at the maximum listed in any loading manual are the weight variables of the different brands of brass, primers, "lots" of powder, and jacket thickness of bullets of the same listed weight. The differences...
