Don't EVER eat from or drink from pewter ware. Ancient Romans did, the Pilgims and other colonists did and look what happened to them. They are all DEAD. They ate peas and carrots too.

I'm pretty sure I can sell you a 60 pound box of COWW if I can modify a proposed deal with someone (I was going to sell him 2 boxes, but have only just PMd him about it. Haven't heard... I'll just modify that and go on with this if you wish). Maybe...

I have never weighed the contents of the pot which I place on the burner but it is about 2/3 full of wheel weight or other smelt source. The pot is one I bought from D. Crockett and much like yours. The safety is found in having the pot close to...

Fat Elk, I too have the same burner and you will find that the legs are just fine as is. You will weaken things if you go boring holes for bolts or rivets. A heat ring will really speed up the melt and a wind screen is almost a must. The fellow...

Ceramic tile nippers work well. Harbor Freight has them. I use a set of small channel lock pliers. Haven't got around to grt the nippers. I have made two 1lb. batches. Next step is to see how it works in the gun. swamp

I did not know about the expander funnel from Dillon. I do the resizeing off press as do several others as noted. I have some brass that needs inspection for length and trimming so the off press work is just part of the program.

This is an absolute myth. For those who doubt, I invite you to try the exchange of ammo but please let me be far from the firing point when you touch off something you manage to chamber.

I have had 2 sets of newer Lyman handles break in the very same manner. The handles appear to be cast and have the odor of "made in China," all over them. I quit with the Lymans and will struggle along with RCBS in the future.

All above "no to welding" advice is spot on. Nothing to add to that. However, if the watch is so valuable to you, why let the cost of a PROPER repair get in the way. If you do not have the money now, my advice is to do nothing now, and get it fixed...

Unless your barrel is rifled 1:18, great accuracy with 500+ weight bullets is doubtful. 1:20 may work 1:22 probably not. Your 405 grain bullets will kill anything that walks and should give satisfactory results to 5 or 600 or further.

Contact John Taylor/Taylor Machine for a reline of the bore. You will still have a 7.62x54 rifle with a mint bore and perfect chamber. Cost way less than rebarrel and leaves the markings intact.

I have 2 RCBS molds for sale. I got from an estate. Both look new. $50.00 each + postage. Might be interested in 7x57 Mauser reloading and casting stuff. USPS money order is best. 1-44-240-SWC 2 38-148-WC.. SPF
