If you happen to find some of the old Ideal multi-groove moulds, you will notice base edge will have a very slight bevel. This is from setting the cherry cutter to shallower depth than the full length of cutter as in the Perfection blocks. I...

I wanted a copy I could take to work & gun shows but wanted to preserve my original no.1. I ordered a re-print from www.cornellpub.com Big surprise when arrived in that it is more than double the size of original..nice clear large bullet profile...

Be carful with COW..it can and will under compression form a solid plug in case..as I found out with ctgs. loaded for only a couple of weeks. Another problem with it is if using "turned" cases for example, those offered by RCM (Rocky Mountain...

Bayberry wax is funny stuff..I bought a pound of it and had to use a wood chisel to break it into usable pieces. When cut, it was so hard, lots of very fine particles & dust..best to do this on large clean sheet of paper. I thought this stuff is...

I have been impact-coating with moly (NECO Corp.) since the mid 1990's After waxing with Carnuaba, bullets are sized .226 & 1st. band tapered to match leade angle. 1 groove is then filled with Lyman Super Moly.

Few years back, I did a simple lube test for my low velocity cast wadcutter loads. My Lyman 45 was filled with Micro lube (discontinued?)..I used this lube for all my IHMSA revolver loads, so I lubed bullets with this. I also used my home brewed...

I'm using the Ideal 245498 g.c. in my Winchester-Lee straight-pull sporting rifle over either 10grs. H4227 or 10grs. TrailBoss..the TrailBoss leaves case necks clean whereas the H4227 leaves them smoky. Due to the open irons..buckhorn rear & German...

I don't know about pressure but...I had Fred Leeth of Pioneer Products make a couple of nose-pour molds that are identical in shape & weight except for the gas-check shank. These are in .22 for my Hornet rifle. Now concerning pure accuracy..NOT...

I too heard about the 311413 reputation for lousy accuracy. I owned a nice 1898 Krag but bore was very dark. Best jacketed accuracy at 100yds. was 1 1/2" no matter what load I tried. NECO had just came out with their pressure (fire) lapping kit...

I purchased this from a dealer friend. Nickle plating looks to be near 90% intact. This is a straight line tool. I wasn't sure if the .40-63 would work with my RCM turned .40-63 everlasting brass, but I started a 330gr. paper-patched bullet in...
