LB7, That's a big one ! in the 1980s, I worked in a hardware store and that store sold them. I may still have one of those as well. BUT, I always prefered the LB5, I still have a couple of those.

I had bulging issues with R+P brass during seating (I would crimp in another step, so my problem wasn't the crimp). 44-40 brass is thin and prone to bulging...some brands are thinner than others...R+P seems to be the thinnest, IMHO. Be sure to...

Dave, Welcome to the forum. I have a early version (360-160-SWC) of the NOE mold linked to below (360-165-SWC-T5) It is very close to the Lee you mention, but the NOE has two crimp grooves, which is very handy if you have a S&W 357 mag revolver...

I bet that discolored brass got hotter than 200. Not all ovens will be 200, when you set the dial on 200. Maybe put a thermometer in there, and see what temperature it really is. I don't wet tumble, but sometimes I use Hot citric bath. when...

I can totally understand the issue with Lyman's mold guide. I use the Lee 4-20 pot, and with it's tiny "shelf" of a mold guide, it's actually more of a challenge to keep a standard mold casting with a slight tilt is almost second nature....

One technique to try, is slightly tilting the entire mold, so the excess molten alloy spills over the front end of the mold. Fill the cavity closest to the front end first, then work your way back. If you maintain the tilt, alloy won't splash...

The answer to this question is two crimp grooves, like on the NOE 360-165-SWC Crimp it into the top lube groove for shorter 357mag cylinders. I don't know if this is a 'clone' of the 358429, but with the variation Lyman has with their molds over...

That 268 Lyman may be too fat for your 6.5 guns ...assuming they are made to USA 6.5 specs. That mold is designed for Foreign built war horses that are typically .004 to .005 larger than the USA specs (.264)
