4 years ago, I did that. I used a grinder to make them thinner. I used a drill press to ream out the holes, the holes did end up extremely close to the inner edge, I've used them many times with Lyman 4 cav molds, no problem so far.

vzerone replied to a thread 20 Nosler in Factory Rifles
It's internet speculation that the 22 Nosler is similar to the 6.8 Remington and some even say that is the parent case with some changes. Nosler has never indicated the 6.8 is the parent case. While the 6.8 SPC is similarly shaped, the .22 Nosler...

I thought electronics were supposed to make life simpler, like "the paperless society". Remember when if the round TV picture was fuzzy, you went outside and turned the antinna. If that didn't help, ya just watched a different station, after all...

The day my Dad retired, he took off his watch and placed it in a drawer. Later I ask him what day it was and he answered, "What does it matter''? Life is like that. Age changes perspective. Time is only important if you are reacting to someone...

As I gain maturity, I get just as much, or more pleasure out of tiny holes, close together, at a great distance, on paper, as seeing an animal fall at the crack if my rifle. I now have issues walking and it's easier to traverse the mowed grassy...

If you're going to hunt with it the 35-303 will have better performance on deer. All 35 calibers are good deer caliber. You should have a little more steam then a 35 Rememington and you know how well that performs. Myself i don't want any black...

Buzz if you're shooting that weight and length of a bullet and not seating it past the base of the neck that you more then likely have a 5.56 chamber then a true 223 one. Many manufacturers have done this to avoid lawsuits. I know a couple of...

Here's a 9mm conversion that you don't have to have a different lower with the special 9mm mag well, you just use your 5.56 lower and of course you'll need a 9mm complete upper. I personally feel the mag well adaptor is overpriced and near the...

That's good thinking Mac1911, no sense in pushing those two rifles. If you need a hotter 30 caliber go to a magnum bolt rifle. Shooting those old milsurps, and their copies, with the ammo they were intended too use (and cast too!) is just plain fun.

Eye of squirrel is impossible when even the head of the squirrel is hard to see. Age offers you new challenges. Even center mass is a small target.

The pressure isn't necessarily about wrecking the case, the higher pressure of the 308W is harder on the rifle as it wasn't designed for that kind of pressure. Talking about the gas system and gas port and I'm also talking about the M14. In their...

If you went with that you would get or want tighter chamber dimensions and that way your brass would last much longer then the 303 brass does in the sloppy 303 chambers.

    |A lot of people form the CM's from 250Savage/22-250. Yes you can use 308 brass but it's thicker and pressures will be higher with identical 6mm CM load and you may have to turn the necks too. Those 303 actions were never designed for the...

The bullet is too long for the magazine unless you deep loaded it. It's a tad on the heavy side for a 35 Rem too.

All you would have to do for the correct bolt face is get one for a Isaphore 7.62 NATO. Probably could cobble up a working magazine from the Isaphore too.
