Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I also scored the coveted 45th edition of the Lyman reloading manual. I've heard others mention it's one of their favorites and they wouldn't be without it. I've seen them priced stupidly high on the famous auction...

I'd just use a solution of pure citric acid and water...I think others will add a touch of dish soap disclaimer: I don't use a ultra-sonic cleaner, I just use a old crockpot and solution of pure citric acid and hot water (3 Tblsp to a gallon). I...

Maybe? The Hutchinson show in late Sept has been a staple for 36 years, known widely as a locally run 300 table show (by the Elk's club) with lots of private dealers, much like the Wells, MN show in March. There is usually a "crocodile productions...

Myself, I keep it all separate and in it's original form, but I don't have 800lbs of mixed type. If I had 800lbs of mixed type, that's been sitting unused since '75 and I wasn't planning on selling it, then I'd surely think your plan of smelting it...

The local gunshow was this weekend, I always have a table there. VERY VERY low attendance, record low attendance, and very few of those few attendees were buying. The only buying/selling I was seeing was between those with a table. on the plus...

shot the barrel loose? WOW ! Ruger couldn't fix it? WOW ! again. As DougGuy says, .431 seems like the size to use, if it'll fit. Hunting load, I'd use H110, work up a load for your gun, starting at Hodgdon's recomendation for a start load.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'd bet it will not make it. Now, I don't know much about willows? but I do know friut trees, and the loss of bark around the base, near or completely and well into the sap wood is a death sentence. It may...

It would seem cost effect to buy a different rifle, with your desired specs (especially since there are so many 223 bolt guns available, used or new) and keep or sell your Ruger slow twist...which should be the cat's meow for cast boolits. I am a...

I'd be interested in your analysis of load manuals (when you do the write up). I only searched out and posted the Max loads from My two favorite manuals and Hodgdon, because 25.5gr stuck in my mind... as that's my pet load for a CZ-527 chambered...

That's interesting, I don't doubt you, but I recall it being more, as I've used H335. I dug into a few manuals. Lyman 49th Has 27gr as Max for the only 55gr jacketed bullet listed. Nick Harvey's manual also lists 27gr as MAX. Hodgdon paper...
