I have picked up a 243Win Westerner version of the above rifle, the serial number puts it in the 1982 range. It was a farm rifle with a pretty good bore, but lots of pitting on the bolt and exterior from sweaty hands no doubt. The bolt shroud was...

I put a brass jag on a cleaning rod, cotton patch and then wrap it with a thin layer of 0000 steel wool (20-30 strands). I've done the same using one long strand from a copper choreboy scouring pad. The Choreboy works better for heavily...

Corruption aside, there must be some reason why the city wants to build a lagoon at that location? Maybe it is close to a river/stream/ditch, so they can drain it periodically? If they are set on that location, and they need some of your...

I wonder how much spring-back there is with those FMJ? You might want a undersized 30 cal sizer die...maybe .307? I'd use a swaging lube, like Lanolin thinned with s bit of neatsfoot oil.

I edited the microfiber out of your title. Have you thought about Heat treating your 94-3-3 http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?248671-Heat-treat&highlight= I got about 24BHN, but with lower oven temps, you'll get less hardness.

If your application would lend toward a motor over heating, if sure would make sense to connect the purple wires as lightman states, so the overloads are in series with the switch.
