If you read any of the several reloading manuals I own they all say it headspaces on the case mouth. However if you look at a picture of a 357 Sig headspace gauge it doesn’t even have a case mouth, just a shoulder. My experience has been that you...

I’ve bought from them with no complaints. If you want Al checks they are a good source. I’ve also bought several bags from Blammer’s site.

I had terrible results with the Lee tumble lube TC bullet until I started dropping them directly from the mold into a bucket of water to harden them. That made all the difference for me. I started a thread about it here:...

If you have arthritis in your hands the four cavity ones will put a pretty good hurting on you, but you can’t beat the quality. The bullets are so nice you almost hate to see them fly away.

My situation is the exact opposite. I have a 98 Silverado with only 42K miles on it and it has never been reliable since day one. It’s a total crapshoot if it’s going to start or not, or if there’s a new brake fluid leak. I just sold my 2007...

I had it once. Once was enough. I didn’t hunt deer this year for the first time since the mid-80s. Everybody I know has severely cut back their deer consumption because of gout fear so my deer freezer is still 3/4 full. At the rate I’m going through...

Those of you that have shot it, do your rifles shoot it to a different point of aim than other ammo? I ask because it's 36 grain and the 'normal' bullet weight is 40 grains. They're saving a little money on 4 less grains of lead per round.

Elkins45 replied to a thread 357 Sig...FINALLY in Cast Boolits
My RCBS 357 Sig dies are from around 1996 and I had to grind material off the base of the sizer before it even touched the shoulder. They were WAY off spec. I have a set of Lee dies that were correctly made. First and only time I ever had a problem...

ATF/acetone mixed 50/50 is reputed to be the most effective penetrant known to man. Maybe drip it with that for a day or so. Wrap a strap wrench around it and try to wiggle it from side to side. I suppose if all else fails you could back out...

My next upper build will be a 458 SOCOM, and I’m getting the parts from Tromix. The difference in price between them and the guys using guesswork reamers isn’t worth the risk of getting a dud.

When Grainger decides to have a clearance they can have some pretty good prices. I bought like 20 feet of 7/8-14 threaded rod from them for some insanely low price a few years ago. It makes a great base for custom sizing dies and expanders.

Thanks for the heads-up! I ordered 16 plus one of the louvered panels so I can mount them above my bench.

H-110 2400 4227 Li'l Gun These are the powders that you see mentioned most often. 1680 is all the rage but I din't see how it's all that great myself. I've been experimenting with 300-MP with decent results. Since you didn't mention trying to shoot...

I have NOE's hollow point version of this mold. I think the nose in practice is a little fatter than the drawing says, because I have to seat back pretty far to keep it from jamming on the lands. I don't recall if I ever used this bullet in my...

I put a 35 Whelen barrel for Savage on a Marlin. I had to have .015 faced off of the barrel before it would headspace properly. It faked me out because the barrel bumped into the bolt face and I thought it was bottoming on the GO gauge. I learned...
