ulav8r replied to a thread What Would You Do?!?!? in Leverguns

    Nominal diameter of # screws is found by the following equation: Nominal OD = .060 " +(#*.013"). In this case .060 + (4x.013) = .060 + .052 = .112

Had an instructor at CST that had a .22 whose barrel had 4 very noticeable bulges along it's length, one was only about 2 inches from the muzzle. He said it still shot very good groups. A bulge does not automatically mean a barrel is no good.

The original parts were steel also, but apparently H&R did not use the proper steel or used the wrong heat treatment for the steel used.

I feel the 230 grain bullet is more than is needed in the 35 Remington. It is better suited to the 35x57 or 358Win.

Obsolete means the cartridge is not available from multiple sources, AND cases are not available, AND no readily available case can be used by simply trimming and forming using standard dies for the cartridge. If dies are no longer made and not...

I use the same method as Larry for rifle loads, pull empty from a container (butter tub, tupperware container, etc.), charge and set in block. For short pistol cases, pull case from container, dip powder-charge case-seat bullet. The short cases...
