I have no idea what the alloy is. Most was range pick up. Some wheel weights. Some lead blocks used for counter weights. I'm guessing I won't know unless I measure at different times. Thanks

abunaitoo started a thread Grow or shrink in Cast Boolits
I know it's been discussed here before. Just can't find it. Should be a sticky. Right after casting, after a week or so, do they grow or shrink????? I cast up some Lee 356-120 TC tonight. They measure out at 357-358. Will they shrink or...

Arisaka that someone has sporterized. To bad. It is a last ditch. Flat bolt safety, soup can bolt knob, fixed rear sight. Looks like someone tried to bend the handle down. Stock cut. Looks like it has a wood butt plate. If so, very late war...

Many years ago, I went to an indoor range here once. It has since closed down. It was OK, but probably not go back if it were still open. I like outdoor ranges better.

So.............. I got the 9mm Mag brass. I trimmed 10 of them to fit my Destroyer chamber. Came out to 23.59mm/9029in. Used the same load of 358-145 SWC. 4.0 of Unique. At 50yds, 1" to 2". I didn't think the head space would make that much...

I have a few friends that are Vietnam vets. Those that were in the field, all say if it wern't for "Agent Orange" they probably wouldn't be here today. Only one has health problems, and he wasn't in the field. He was on a river barge. I use...

400 That sounds like a lot. I try not to store much. Delete them what the deal is done. If it's information, I copy it to a folder, then delete.

I was running low on 30 cal checks, so I got 1000 of each. Same thickness. Will be loading both, with the same load, to see if any difference. I am hoping not, because the Alu is cheaper.

Foaming Wipe Out works great. I spray it in. Let it soak for an hour Brush it with a stainless brush. Patch it out. Repeat. I use stainless because sometimes the bronze will give a wrong color to the patch. Brush needs to be tight. When it gets...

I've looked into forming .223. The base is just to small. I did find some. Another member here has some. Waiting for them now. Good people here. Always willing to help.

Had some time to reload and try some yesterday. About the same as the week before. I'm beginning to think 3" to 4" at 50 might be the best it can do with the 145gr boolet I'm using. Time to try something else.

Didn't see him at the range yesterday. I had loaded 10 each with unique and I4198. I did find a box of reloads with cast I had made a while ago. I reloader another box with the same boolets, only PC'ed to try. It shot great. 16.0 2400 with a...

I slugged one of my carbines. I really need to start doing that first. .313 bore. Don't have any 155-160gr to size that big. Biggest I have is .311. I do have a group buy .316-191gr mold. I lubed and sized those. Will try in the carbine...

I used to have really good results with Western Nevada cast. 405gr/ 461di. Can't find them anymore. Looking for a replacement mold to cast my own. I've tried a few, but they just don't shoot the same. Probably the hardness of the alloy.

9mm Largo again. Almost straight case. When I seat the boolet, I get a bulge, in the case, at the base of the boolet. Sometimes it will not chamber. Rather than pull and resize, I run it through a full length sizer until the bulge is gone. I...

This is for the Destroyer rifle I'm playing with. .358 is working, but I'm thinking it's a little small. Bore slugged at .357.
