Mold seems to have liver a hard life. It looks OK, but has problems. Missing the screw that hold the handles to it. Boolets are kind of oblong. Not evenly round. Boolets just don't drop from the mold. I sent a email to Redding to see if i...

Cast some of the round nose boolets and tried them today. Solved the feeding problem. I think I may have seated them deeper than with the other boolets. More pressure. They shot OK, but not as good.

So I PC'd them to get the diameter up to 357. Loaded up with HS6 powder. It turned out to be the best load with the other boolets. Lee TC Didn't work as well. I think I may have seated them deeper that the TC. The round nose solved the feeding...

I've been playing with my Destroyer in another thread. Started with Unique, tried W231, and now on HS6. So far HS6 seems to be the best powder. I'll be trying some SR7625 and HS7 next. Probably some Blue dot then 2400 next week. Had to make...

I'm trying to figure out what mold this is. Screw holes are damaged, so until I fix it, don't know exact boolet dimensions. Seems to be .356 di. Spruse plate may not be for this mold. Numbers have been stamped over. It looks like 5 C ?, but...

I noticed, from your picture, that you seat the boolet out a little farther than I do. Is that on purpose???? I found a mold that I think might work. It has some bad screw holes I need to fix before using. No markings on it. 3 cav, metal, Saeco...

abunaitoo started a thread Berdan primer hit in Our Town
Do Berdan primers need a deeper hit than Boxer primers????? I'm asking because I've gone through at least 200 8mm Lebel MG ammo, and have not mad one primer go off. Rounds had the heads and powder removed. Tried to fire the primers in my 1886...

Gave a friend some CCI bench rest primers. I've never tried them. Not needed with cast boolet loads I use. He said they were a very tight fit. Hard to seat. Anyone have any experience with these????

I'm thinking my drier idea, would be the same as putting them over the A/C fan. Not hot enough to dry to fast, and cause water spots, but hot enough to dry the fast. I used to vibrate after, but it took more time. I always seem to put off...

I don't know anyone here that uses a food dehydrator. We make a hot box, and put it on the roof. I think I'll try and see if my plan for a dryer might work.

I was hoping there were still some "untouched" ones around. Really should have gotten one when they first came out. With the Lee die set at a reasonable price, it's worth it to shoot. That and I've always wanted to try and form those cases....
