    I did a test myself to see about the bhn on some alloy I made up and found that it take about a week to get a better reading of the bhn. then it is about the same after that. that is for air cool i do.

    For me I would not get WW because of the zinc that is too much in it. I go to the salvage yard and get soft lead and go from there .Just need to watch for the zinc that some times get mix in it. but not much.For me WW have too much waste in it then...

    I got a Lyman 500 that I got back in the late 80's brand new at the time and had the pin on it move on me and sent it to Lyman and they fix it also check it to make sure it was right .No problem with after that.

    I have a Rem 700 in a 22-250 and it the twist as 1-14". I shoot mainly cast in it and I use the Lyman long 55gr boolit in it and for my mix it is 60grs and it works for all I want.

    I posted this if someone wanted to try it and see from there if they like it or not. I get the hollow point mold myself and go that way. I like the NOE or MIL molds with the pins that you are able to change to flat or hollow or semi hollow.
